Spend the day at hospital with chest pain - inflammation again!
Hi all, just thought I should let you all know what happened if anyone is having similar symptoms. So I've been having intermittent chest pain for a while now and hasn't been getting any better, I had it at my last Rhuemy appointment in Dec but she said that she'd send me for CT scans and chest X-ray

What are Micro Clots? Are they dangerous?
I think I suffer micro clots in my brain. Horrific pain in a part of my head for minutes or up to an hour. That leaves me jaded and delicate with a worse headache. I had already been diagnosed with APS and was on aspirin when I collapsed on holiday (for a wedding) in Turkey (a 4 & 1/2 hour flight in

Intermittent Chest Pain and Discomfort
Hi all, Just wondering if anyone else had this as a symptom? It's worse at around 1pm then sticks with me through the evening, seems to be there everyday I can't escape it! My Rhuemy doesn't seem too concerned about it, I've had chest x-ray and that was normal. I did have a left pleural rub during my

HCC/Liver ablation.
Since being home from RFA treatment for a liver tumour in Nov, 2016, Mike has been ill with a chest infection. He now has breathlessness from little exertion. Had a chest x-ray and it came back clear, waiting to have a spirometer test now. The symptoms Mike had before the ablation treatment are still

Hospital update
Saw arrythmia nurse yesterday also had ecg , chest x ray and an echo. Top 2 chambers of heart are a little enlarged but other than that all ok. Opinion is that chest pain etc is from heart still being inflamed and irritated from the ablation and may not settle down until the six week mark. He said

Chest infections.
Hi. I was only diagnosed with asthma last march so this is all a bit new to me. It's been a difficult task getting it under control but the current mix of inhaler's and medication seems to be working. My problem is that for the last 4 days I have been coughing up blood and had a high fever. My GP diagnosed

Chronic dry cough
I have had a persistent dry cough since June 2016 after a cold which lasted about a month. It is worse when out in the cold air and when I try to speak will often come on and prevent me talking. A chest x ray was clear and a breathing test was normal. One Doctor said it could be acid reflux related

Finally got pet scan results... 😐
Hi all. So my mum had a pet scan 3 weeks ago to investigate a mass in her upper right lung. She spoke to her consultant on the phone today and he explained that the scan showed the active area in the right side as expected but there is also a very small active area in her left lung (which didn't show

Would a lung cancer cough get better?
Hi, I've had a cough for roughly 5 months, i smokes and I'm 51. Ive had a chest x ray which was clear, and now had a CT scan last Friday, we have an appointment with a lung specialist tomorrow. Unsure if the results of the CT will be ready as the appointment was made the same day as the CT. My question

Heavy Wheezing and potential Lung Infection - help?
Hi, I'm Jake - and yes, I'm new here! Since the first week of October I began to develop a cough/cold where I'd be coughing up yellow mucus, and blowing it out of my nose. After a few weeks, the colour went and the mucus I was blowing out of my nose was see-through. This turned into a mild "cough",

How long did LC diagnosis take?
Hi everyone I've posted on here a few times now and I have found everyone to be so kind and helpful. My mum had early stage breast cancer in her left breast 5 years ago, this was treated with surgery, radiation, chemo and hormone therapy and she had no further problems (fingers crossed) in November
