Gas-X

He has been taking 2 Gas X tablets and Beano tablets before and after treatments. We aren't sure if it is the medication or the radiation treatments, but he has had many bouts of diarrhea. We have tried rice, salmon, bananas, and other bland foods.

Both times too much gas for imaging despite cutting out so much fiber and plants from diet. I read that about a practice in Austin, TX suggesting Gas-X (simethicone) 4x daily, Would like to get great imagery the next attempt and know how to be ready for 28 sessions of radiation. Thank you.

I have also had a wheezing on my chest for the past 10 weeks, went to the docs three weeks ago, had a chest X Ray, came back clear, obviously apart from previous nodule. Still have the wheezing though, not sure sure where to go from here so any suggestions most welcome.

Ps all bloods came back fine, chest x ray fine. I'm 68. Any advice /"insights appreciated.

She also asked for a chest X-ray. The outcome X-ray was clear (only found out later), and she took me off Pred it didn't have ( the expected magic quick effect indicator ) . She then left the Surgery.

I went back for another chest x-ray and the dr has said it hasn’t cleared up as much as was expected so I go for a ct thorax and abdomen with contrast this Wednesday and also referred me to respiratory team on a fast track pathway.

Hospital did ecg, bloods, chest X-ray, urine dip. They put it down to UTI as markers of infection and signs in Urine. Send home with antibiotics and sickness pills, just really scared that this sends anxiety sky high by fear of it happening again. Anyone else experienced similar,.? advice ?

I had pneumonia and pleurisy in November 23 and had antibiotics and finally chest X-ray. This showed a pleural effusion so got sent for cat scan . This showed secondary breast cancer in my lungs and bones .

They did a chest x-ray and it was normal. The calcium issue eventually resolved but I was still dealing with the dizziness. My surgeon had me come in 12/26 and said he thinks it’s a vestibular migraine. He prescribed me a single dose (3 pills) prednisone and sumatriptan.

Also have to mention there all blood troponin, chest X-ray, and ct pe scan were normal. So all the usual protocol. Also ekg was fine. They always are for me but I don’t know what else to do as pain won’t go away….

I was sent for a chest x-ray late 2023 which was clear. The shortness of breath seemed to lesson a lot but the other symptoms remained. Late last year I had a pain in my chest as I was getting ready for bed. I laid down expecting it to go but it didn't.

I’ve had a 2 1/2 month cough , chest X-ray in December was normal . Been to Gp several times - now still have a cough , on second course of antibiotics , had another chest X-ray at the weekend- now noticed a metallic taste in my mouth - any ideas ,

Wednesday I had a chest X ray and my Doctor phoned last night and now I have to have a CT scan as they have found a 13 mm nodule in my right lung. I had a CT scan last August and still have the letter saying No Lung cancer present however they are calling this nodule sinister.

They did the usual bloods, ecg, chest X-ray and think a ct which were all clear. Needless to say the pain had gone but I had an attack as soon as I got out of the car into the cold at home!

We chatted for a half hour and he examined me, then sent me for bloods, chest x-ray and dexa scan so that I can start on Methotrexate. I have now seen the rheumatology nurse who spent time explaining how it works, what the side effects are, asking lots of questions.

The breathlessness is affecting everything I do, and I'm genuinely scared of the next attack 😕 Thanks in advance for any help x

Has anyone had chest X-ray and bloods taken before starting. Apparently down to local protocol. I need to take it until I go into NSR. Apparently the best chance of the ablation planned is if I am in NSR at the time

I explained not possible going abroad in October 2012, Doctor told me I could take medication there ( will come back to this *) I was sent for all the usual tests includes chest x-ray, comprehensive blood test, and health history checked.

He Basically told me I don’t have asthma and won’t give me any more treatment despite me still unmanaged needing salbutamol x 8 a day. I am thinking of going privately and maybe complaining to the hospital.
