Tigacrelor and breathless
Hi. Interested to hear other experiences of the above. Had heart attack and stent 6 ago. weeks. Intermittently find I feel tight chested/breathless although breathing is actually normal. Been back to GP/ A &E a few times and ECG/bloods/chest X ray all normal which is reassuring. I'm aware feeling breathless

Hi I was diagnosed with Silent Reflux 3 years ago and after trying several PPIs ended up on Famotidine which I took for several months and altered my diet no coffee, dairy plain food, small meals etc. This stopped the constant sorr throat - I didn’t have any sort cough even when diagnosed. I stopped

Newly diagnosed
Hi all, just looking for a bit of advice I suppose. I was told today by my GP that I have Pulmonary Emphysema. This was resulting from a chest x-ray I had on 15th August after developing a cough in May. The cough turned into wheezing which I was prescribed steroids for - wheezing disappeared but cough

To Dial 999 or Not
Last Thursday was a horrible day. I had a message left on my answerphone from my older sister, who has slight learning difficulties. She said, "Jean I have a pain in my chest and feel terrible", then she was in tears. I immediately called her back and asked which side the pain was, it was her left. Asked

Telephone Consultation
I have a telephone consultation with the Cardio team this Thursday, my first one. I have had a 24 hour heart monitor, an ECG and a chest x-ray all of which have come back as normal, yet the palpitations have become much worse in the last month that when I'm having one, I can barely speak and it feels

Fluid on Lung
Hi All, I started having a pain on my right side under the ribs, about 2 month ago.I was wondering if I'd got gallstones and the dull ache wouldn't go away! So a few week ago I popped into my A&E to have it checked out. They sent me to SDEC department, were they did blood tests, Ultra sound on my leg

Has Anyone Ever Used Methotrexate In Lieu of Pred?
I was diagnosed with PMR two years ago and took pred for a year. I had to stop due to worsening of my depression, development of fatty liver, and total cholesterol of 10mmol/L (this was July 2023, I had successfully got down to 2mg pred). At the same time I was diagnosed with an an autoimmune liver

PVC’s and Travel
I have been having PVC’s since chemo/covide vaccine (disagreement on what triggered them). They are almost permanent. Sometimes I get a couple of hours a day that I can’t feel them. My GP and Oncologist have been fab. But struggling to get cardiology to take me seriously. I’ve done a 24 hour halter

It never rains but it pours. I spent all day Friday at A&E with a suspected heart attack. The pain woke me up at 5am and because I’d had this a couple of times before and the thought of a day in A&E, I had 7.5mls morphine and 2 paracetamol and actually slept for another couple of hours. I have been on dupilmab for 18 months. I have not had steroids for 18 months and administer it myself. I have eosinophilic asthma.I had to go back to the asthma unit for a review. My spirometry was much better than last time but my FeNo remained high. Bloods done as well. I had a phone call a few days

Can anyone explain
Hi,On Tuesday of this week I was out with my husband having a relaxing drive to the beach. I began to feel uncomfortable. I had a pain in the middle of my stomach above my belly button. My ribcage felt like it was being crushed. I had to undo my bra to try and relieve some of the pressure. We stopped

I had a review a week or so back. Been on dupilimab for 18 months or so - on home care so I administer it myself. I explained that I now cough a lot. My FeNo was high ( usually in three figures) I did spirometry and a blood test. Just been called by a pharamcist - consultant wants me to have a chest

Hypersensitive Pneumonitis Due to Construction Dust
Hi everyone, I’ve just received a diagnosis after a crazy past 3 days. I have a new housing estate being built in the field adjacent to my house. The work has been ongoing for a couple of years but started at the furthest end. Last autumn as the work became viewable from our home I noticed I was suffering

Adalimumab
I have been on Hydroxychloroquine for 2 years and methotrexate for 6 months. Today I had to have bloods and chest x-ray as they want to start me on Adalimumab. Really hate the thought of another medication. I just wonder exactly what the medication is doing to my body. Already had a blip last month
