Home delivery Service
Does anyone get their RA injection meds delivered to your home via home delivery service ? I am having constant issues with HAH made a complaint already and on the verge of another. I work full time as a NHS nurse and luckily work Mon-Fri supposedly “9-5” more like 7:30 til 18:00 most days. The delivery

Hip recovery and Osteoporosis
I'm 6 weeks into a total hip replacement (left) following a "flying" fall onto my drive having caught my jumper in a branch. Due to this being called a fragility fracture, does this mean I have Osteoporosis? Also, what can I expect in terms of hip recovery after 6 weeks onwards?

1st Firmagon/Degarelix Shots.
I received my first Firmagon shots (2) on Monday 10/19/2020. Three days in and the pain is still very much present from the red swollen hard pot belly that resulted. Not sure I can face this monthly for 2-3 years, even if 1 shot going forward. Is the first treatment the worst from the large dose?

osteoporosis risk @ 5.9%.- good or bad?
I have just had this back from my Rheumatologist and wonder what it might mean? Anyone? "The L1-L4 T-score is -2.0 and BMD is 0.871 g/cm2. The left femoral neck T-score is -1.0 and BMD is 0.797 g/cm2. The 10 year risk of major osteoporotic fracture calculated from femoral neck bone density and risk

Prevnar 13 not available should I have Pneumovax 23 instead?
I have arranged to have a Streptococcus Pneumonia injection at my GP's surgery ( in the UK), and saw on the website it was advised to first have a Prevnar 13 injection first followed by the Pneumovax 23 at least two months later. The surgery and my pharmacy say they can't get hold of the Prevnar 13

Memory Gaps?
So, 2 years since diagnosed PSA 1000+ with extensive metastasis, with a few jumbo tumors that caused havoc. Then, ADT, Lupron and Zytiga, a year later, 6 infusions of Taxotere. Now at PSA < 0.02. I'm 60 years old and still employed as a software developer, love the work. But, darn, I've missed meetings

Insufficiency fracture as a sign of metastasis
Yesterday I was informed that I have an insufficiency fracture of the head of the femur. The source of my severe pain has finally been revealed. Is this metastasis or just a side effect of years of Prolia injections, Should i refuse the upcoming Prolia injection?

Would it work when we go back to the old treatment again? Your input would be appreciated.
I am asking this question as I am curious as to whether or not the old treatment is workable after you have used up all other treatments. For example, Lupron and Casodex (frontline) were used at first diagnosis. After all other treatments like zytiga, xstandi, etc. are castration-resistant, would it

Radium Treatment Experiences?
Hubby has done just about everything, years of Lupron, casadex, zytiga, xtandi, taxotere, now on jevtana (which does not appear to be working as psa continues to rise.) Now Dr wants to try a radium treatment in the nuclear med department as a last option. HAS ANYONE GONE THIS DIRECTION AND, IF SO,

Mid Morning loss of energy
I was diagnosed with PMR in August was was initially on 20mg Pred, but now on 15mg. With the Doc's agreement I take the Pred after my evening meal and not in the morning. If I took them in the morning I would wake up quite achy and it would take a few hours for the Pred to work its magic. Taking them

Auximen scan shows significant new cancerous activity and last post about my brother
Unfortunately, this is the last post about my brother. He passed away on October 6. My brother showed great fortitude against very long odds, and his courage and strength of spirit during this brutal battle was inspirational. I am heartbroken to lose him, but I know the cliché that he is finally at peace

Flaxseed
My NMD told me that flaxseed causes estradiol to decrease in preference of estriol. Estriol is supposedly good for PCa depending on how much ERb and ERa one has. I have been on supraphysiologic testosterone (SPT) for a little over a year. I use an AI (letrozole) and my estradiol hovered around 20 pg/

A DEAR FELLOW TRAVELER ASKED FOR AN UPDATE... over this past few years (6) of being on the stage 4 P.C. journey...I've been believing my partner would be there as caregiver. However....over the past 8 months I had been noticing him being "different". I talked to our primary care doctor about it...
