( can’t speak or sleep) I’m actually starting to feel a bit better with
fostair
and a course of steroids and antibiotics! Wondered if anyone has any similar hyper lungs like mine! What works for you please x

Fostair question
I take
Fostair
100/6 but have been using 8 puffs a day for quite a significant time. My asthma nurse suggested changing to the 200/6 a while ago but I said no at that point, thinking I would probably reduce my dose over time, however, this has not happened, sadly.

Fostair finished and can't get any until tomorrow/Covid too
I have Covid and was taking my
Fostair
as prescribed by practitioner nurse. Today I noted it was empty. I have still got my old Budesonide and Salbutamol left from when I switched over in October. Can I use this until I get supply tomorrow?

Steroid Inhalers and thyroid levels
Have been using an inhaler (
Fostair
) for 3 weeks which thankfully has improved symptoms. However a recent Medichecks test shows very high T4. T3 5.1 (3.1 - 6.8) T4 30.3 (12 -22) There was an error and they were unable to give TSH reading. I am awaiting a new test kit.

Fostair excessive use maybe?
I recently requested a new reliever (
fostair
100/6). My GP flagged this and said I couldn't have that as I'm already taking
fostair
200/6 two puffs twice a day. They said I had to use a blue inhaler instead-one has not been prescribed.

Alcohol and Fostair 100/6 inhaler interactions?
I take 1x extra puff of
Fostair
and everything was fine in couple of minutes.... but I quit drinking cause I felt my hearth was beating like crazy.... not sure is this cause of interaction with alcohol or is this just cause of panic attack?..

Constant cough reflex
otherwise, no wheeze, no breathlessness, no temp or other viral symptoms I’m not even sure it’s asthma-related as I don’t normally have this so bad, it’s usually a tight wheezy cough if I’ve got a bad cold or if I’ve been exercising in the cold air, but my asthma is controlled otherwise with 200 of

Raw/sore throat & Inhalers
So I'm wondering if this is caused by my inhaler, (currently using
Fostair
). Has anyone else suffered from this and found anything that helps? Thanks in advance

Changed my consultant
The next thing he did is to change my inhaler from advair hfa to
fostair
Prescribed me 2 antibiotics: Cipro for pseudomonas and Linezolid for Staph Aureus Other medicines were the same i.e prednisone, montelukast, desloratadine etc I’ve been taking them on and off I am concerned for azithromycin

First course of steroids
I feel like I’m starting to improve after seeing a local doctor (who prescribed levofloxacin, Prednisolone, pulmiben, kestine, avamys and upping my
Fostair
to 8 hourly). I’m curious, having not been prescribed prednisolone before, how the pred prescription compares to any UK protocols?

Emergency Medications
Montelukast and
fostair
200. I asked my gp if I could have anything to stop nasty attacks. The answer was, no, as they did not give out emergency asthma medication as their approach was that you should talk to a gp if in trouble. Thoughts..... Is it normal to have emergency prednisone.

Asthma and Covid Experiences Please!
My asthma is normally pretty well controlled, I’m on
Fostair
100/6 one puff twice a day, and Ventolin when required which until now I haven’t really needed since being on
Fostair
a couple of years ago. I also have Dymista nasal spray too.

Asthma ?
It's a little weird he says mild because I'm on
Fostair
200/6 now which is a high dose from what I'm reading ? Anyway, I find this a little weird and confusing, anyone else on their lung health journey seen something similar or have any ideas on what I should do next ?

Dry Powder Inhaler
My asthma nurse has suggested I switch my
fostair
100 to the dry powder version of fostair. Is this a good idea, I could not quite follow the nurses reason for the change.

Post Covid Queries!
I tested positive for Covid 2 weeks ago… it’s caused an asthma flare but luckily I got prescribed steroids for a week which, along with my
Fostair
and Ventolin inhalers, kept things stable enough for me to stay home.

Trimbow eligibility??
I could even just change from Seretide to
Fostair
for a month or something to start with, so I’m not changing all three medications in one go, and then if that goes well, switch to Trimbow. Any thoughts?

seretide v fostair
I’m currently using seretide 125 inhaler , I’m finding my breathing hasn’t been great over last 6 months of using it ,,,I used to have
fostair
which was good until I contracted covid ,,, I’m thinking of going back to
fostair
see if it helps ,I’d appreciate advice from anyone who’s had similar issues
