Simple question... I want to get drunk on semifinal of world cup (Im from Croatia)... I use fostair inhaler 1x morning and 1xevening but also when I am in smoked room I use 1 extra puff... does this have any interactions with alcohol?
I was little drunk today at the bar and after 1h I felt like air is not getting into my chest... I started to panic and felt really dizzy... I take 1x extra puff of Fostair and everything was fine in couple of minutes.... but I quit drinking cause I felt my hearth was beating like crazy.... not sure is this cause of interaction with alcohol or is this just cause of panic attack?..
Any help or suggestion is welcome
Lets go CROATIAAAAA

Well now! As long as you’re cheering on England…. I don’t find any probs drinking but am on Clenil and Ventolin so don’t know if Fostair is different. But smoke is definitely a major trigger for me. Everyone says don’t drink alcohol with meds but I’ve never found it made any difference tbh. See if it happens again with just a little booze, but a panic attack would give you those symptoms too. Maybe ask nurse on here, doc or pharmacist?
Alcohol doesn't interact Fostair, causing asthma symptoms, however the sulphites in alcohol could be a trigger for your asthma. Beer and wine are the main culprits and if you think you have a sensitivity to sulphites, stick with clear spirit such as vodka & gin.
However, the smoky room will have been a huge trigger for most asthmatics, as would that level of excitement.
Best have your rescue inhaler with you for the semi finals, just pace yourself, and good luck Croatia. 🇭🇷
I take Fostair 100/6 and it works well for me. However, I find that alcohol makes my asthma much worse.
Croatia are an amazing team. They managed to send Brazil home!
Have you thought of trying to watch the match without alcohol and let your lungs be at their best so that you can shout for them at the top of your voice! There are good alcohol free drinks available these days.
My heart is with England but I hope Croatia do well.
