Stopped smoking, my asthma a nightmare
I was just given
fostair
200/6 inhaler to be taken twice a day......two puffs in the morning two puffs before sleeping ( and I have been taking it since I had it prescribed ), I still have asthma at night which wakes me up ..let's say 4 times a week.....but this used to happen even when I used to smoke

When infected to what degree is the level of infection the key factor in survival compared to the level of asthma?
I class my asthma as mild - although I'm on
Fostair
I hardly ever need my reliever - although I'm concerned that any level of asthma means even a mild level infection might be hard to survive.

Should I be shielding ?
I am on
fostair
NEXThaler, ventolin and montelukast for my asthma. I spoke to asthma UK who said I should be shielding and to ring my consultant but he said no. I am really worried about the Coronavirus like everyone is. I am a single mum of two so I am so worried about going out etc.

Fostair Dosage
Hi - what is considered a high dose of
Fostair
? I take four puffs a day of the 100mcg/6mcg inhaler ... is that low, medium or a high dose? Thanks in advance .... question related to whether I have to isolate for 12 weeks due to Covid19.

Flutiform Inhaler
I spoke to an Asthma UK nurse who was most helpful and said that it may be better to try a PDI inhaler like Flutiform or
Fostair
although she though that there were supply problems with
Fostair
. Can anyone give me feedback on the Flutiform inhaler if possible please.

Frustrated and feeling useless...…...
I'm a
Fostair
inhaler user, symptoms pretty much under control, still banned from coming to work under the guidelines and getting more and more frustrated about that by the day, because I don't feel any worse than I do on a normal day?

Looking for some advice on constant shortness of breath. Seen by GP several times, awaiting consultant appt.
I’m an asthmatic, have been since I was 7 (37 now) - I currently take
Fostair
200mg and Salbutamol. Mid January I began developing really frequent shortness of breath. My asthma was generally controlled pretty well prior to this, using
Fostair
in the morning and night.

Help about I need to social distance or shield
I have asthma and take
Fostair
100/6 two puffs twice a day, ventolin as needed and montelukast at night. Is this classed as being vulnerable and having to stay in for the 12 weeks.

Fostair
100/6 originally but no sign of it in pharmacies anywhere in my area!) I primed it as instructed but after two puffs I didn’t feel I’d inhaled anything! Is that usual ?

Itching side effect of montelukast?
I was recently prescribed montelukast tablets and changed my inhaler to
fostair
200/6 after a stay in hospital with bad asthma. Since then I have started itching all over. It’s been weeks now and I’m still itching - it even wakes me up at night.

Peak flow
I am on
fostair
100/6 twice daily. However I have noticed that my peak flow increases to 350 when I have taken my salbutamol inhaler. Is that normal.

Shielding Question
I've had 4 ICU admissions in the last 2 years and take
Fostair
200/6 (4puffs a day), 5mg Prednisolone daily, Spiriva, Montelukast, Azithromycin and Carbocisteine. I haven't had a letter or a text saying I'm in the vulnerable group but that doesn't seem to match the advice on the Asthma UK website?
