Baring down pain, coil or not?
Hey girls, had my 3rd removal of endo back in Feb, coil put back in, since then I’m still getting a horrible bearing down pain and pain in lower left side as well as pain after sex, was due a follow up in clinic on 25th of May but just had a letter saying it’s been rearranged for August 😕. I’m wondering

Help! Puzzled sad older newbie
I’m 45 and after years of looking after/ rescuing other peoples children I finally met someone lovely and want a baby with them when I thought I wasn’t. After going off the pill for the past few months I’ve had awful periods, had an invasive scan and biopsy to be diagnosed with endo. The gynae recommended

Bright red blood AFTER period finishes
Hi, I've got a copper coil, unsure if it's relevant Began my period on Friday, it stopped on Monday, some very light brown 'end of period' yesterday (Tuesday). Yesterday I also developed thrush symptoms -I've had it before, I know what caused it (going running in VERY hot weather and getting very sweaty

Merina coil - is it worth it?
Booked in to get a merina coil fitted at the recommendation of my consultant. Have people had good experiences with this? I currently take microgynon so I’m hesitant to get the coil as it seems quite invasive.

Pain in lower abdomen what is it??
Hey, I'm hoping someone can help me out. Just over a year ago I was diagnosed with endometriosis, which was burnt away. And coil inserted, I still had irregular bleeding so was then put on a 6month course of zoladex injections which worked well. They ended in Feb, since then I keep getting stabbing

Discomfort from a vacant IUD
Afternoon! New here. I have the Copper Coil and have been incredibly relieved by the effectiveness of it, no hormones or babies - what a win! However, I have had some discomfort since it was put in place. Not continuous but noticeable. Sometimes just a niggle but sometimes it's very sore. Also I had

Big Life Update
Hello again all, I have returned after a extended break from posting on here. The past 7 months have been full of ups and downs. The last one I talked about here was my long term boyfriend and I had broken up and I was very upset and spoke about just wanting to have fun. And well, I did exactly that.

Do thyroid, iron and the coil clash ?
Hi, I'm currently suffering alapcia and hair thinning. I was on 150mg of thyroxine and after a blood test I've been reduced to 125mg and I also had a mirena coil in but now had that removed. My iron level was 50 a couple of months ago (taking 2 tablets a day) but now I'm taking iron tablet 3 times a

Pushed back cervix?
So I’ve just come back from the doctors after having my coil strings checked. It took my doctor at least 5-15 minutes to find the strings which is probably normal I don’t know as this is my first time getting them checked🤷🏽♀️. But my doctor mentioned that I might have a pushed back cervix?? not 100%

Useless gyno appointment
Went for first gyno appointment yesterday and felt like they didn't listen to anything I said! He gave me a what I think is a pointless womb biopsy even though I've had recent smears that are clear and no in between bleeding. Said doesn't sound like endo and tried to foist a coil on me despite bad experience

Endometriosis and contraception
Hello, I was diagnosed with endometriosis a week ago and I’m currently trying to decide what form of contraception is best for me. I don’t want the injection as I don’t like that once it’s in for 3 months you don’t have any control. I was thinking of the copper coil because of it having no hormones

Mirena coil and cramps strong as contractions. Reason? Too little uterus
Hello everyone. I want to share with you my experience with mirena coil. I have endometriosis and i was asked on pre-operation consultation for laparoscopic surgery of enfometriosis, if i want mirena coil. It's good way how to stop bleeding so I shouldn't have any pain or problems for few years. I said
