Bright red blood AFTER period finishes

Hi, I've got a copper coil, unsure if it's relevant

Began my period on Friday, it stopped on Monday, some very light brown 'end of period' yesterday (Tuesday).

Yesterday I also developed thrush symptoms -I've had it before, I know what caused it (going running in VERY hot weather and getting very sweaty, have done the same before). So I went to the pharmacy and picked up the cream and the oral thrush pill. Took the pill.

Came home, and went to the loo and found bright red blood in my knickers. Over the course of the afternoon I've had tiny amounts of the red blood and I can see it is coming out of the vagina. Very light, bright red but very little of it. Never had this before. Is it something to be concerned about? GP appointments are virtually impossible to get - I could go to the walk in or maybe the sexual health clinic tomorrow if I need to.

Anyone know what it is and should I be worried? Is it relevant to the thrush?

Definitely go to the walk in centre or GUM clinic as any advice from here would be guesswork. Hope it's nothing serious, but best see a vag specialist just in case! Good luck!

You can bleed with thrush but only if you’re very sore. It could be BV which can cause spotting. Definitely go and get swabbed. I think it will be something simple but you need the right meds!
