Copper coil expulsion- what do I do now?
My experience with the copper coil has been nothing but misery. I had it put in early January 2021 and I don’t think anything could have prepared me for the pain I experienced when it was put in, plus for at least 2 weeks after. It took my breath away and I almost fainted as they put it in. Then I spent

Pain achy tired . No motivation
Feeling rubbish , tired , back ache. Pain in lower back and shoulders . Use to blame back pain on coil. Fed up of this achy no energy carry on. Use spray on back and shoulders think it's time for painkillers , wana break from this constant pain . But not keen on taking painkillers often .

The starts of it all
So I am currently trying to do my own research as the Dr told me to do. I had 2 years of thrush followed by a water infection followed by 2 more “water infections” which they just assumed was water infection as it was the same symptoms as my 1st one. My symptoms started off as sharp stabbing pains

HI IM NEW HERE
Sorry in advance for the long post but here is a rough outline of my story the last 16 years I got diagnosed with endometriosis when I was 15years old after an 18 month battle with over 5 doctors and gynaecologists whom all told me I was too young to have it as it's not in my family. Before being diagnosed

Giving up 😔
After really struggling and finally having my diagnostic lap in December I really thought I would get the answers I wanted. They found and removed adhesions on my right side and found that my bowel is stuck to my POD which she wouldnt touch. I was then told I was being referred to Gastro for this as

Bleeding after a copper coil fitting
Hi I had a copper coil fitted two weeks ago and I’m still getting bleeding - most of the time it’s not a lot but sometimes I think I’m starting my period and I’m not. Is this normal ? Thank you x

Contraception
Hi All, Does anyone with Hashimoto’s have any experience of hormonal contraception? I’ve got a copper coil but since having it my periods are 12 days long and heavy. I’ve always had issues with breakthrough bleeding on pills in the past - the mini pill made me have 100 day periods! Plus I’m scared of

Does anyone have experience of the Mirena reducing back pain?
Does anyone have any experience of the Mirena coil improving constant pain rather than just cyclical pain? I had an internal ultrasound yesterday and the doctor said she didn’t see any obvious signs of disease and gave me no other advice other than just to try the mirena. I was pretty disappointed with

Mirena IUD
Interested to know if a Mirena IUD is safe to have if you have Nash. I have read conflicting reports. I have only just had it inserted but apparently the hormones can have an affect on the liver?? I would have researched it prior but after having post menopausal bleeding I was ushered into hospital without

Is copper coil a good method after depo provera?
I’ve had 2 depo provera shots and have recently become incredibly anxious and depressed (crying constantly for no real reason) which is really sad as I had been raving about the injection in the first 18 weeks. I’m looking into the copper coil as it has no hormones, can anyone recommend or let me know

Could it be pregnancy?
So I have the copper coil and have done for nearly 4 years now. My partner and I never use contraception due to being in a long term relationship. Since having the coil fitted I’ve always been regular with my periods and have apps to track it, however I’m now 4 days late and it’s really strange as I’

Suspected endo - any advice?
Hey guys, Hope you are all keeping well. I've just had a consultation with a gynaecologist yesterday regarding some fibroids they found last year through an ultrasound. She was really lovely and empathetic, said she has similar issues herself and like me, didn't't get on too well with cerazette, which

Hi! First post, can anyone offer any advice please?
Hi! My names Sam, I’ve been on here for a while but first time posting! I got diagnosed with endometriosis in may 2019 after many years of problems. I’ve had 3 laparoscopies within 18 months and tried different pills and stuff to stop my periods, but they never seem to agree with me and my periods still

Appointment - coil/pills
Hi guys, I’ve got my second gynae telephone appointment this evening. I know they’re going to want me to have the coil but I’m really reluctant to for a couple of reasons. 1. Even having a speculum for smear is very painful so I’m terrified insertion will be excruciating and 2. I’ve heard you can have

Endometriosis flare up?
Good morning, Just wanted to pick your brains about endometriosis. Back story first... I had a laparoscopy in December 2019 to remove ovarian cyst and zap endometriosis away and then had copper coil fitted as surgeon recommended. 12 months later I still had crippling cramps, daily, heavy periods and
