Pneumonia Recovery
My dad is currently in ICU with pneumonia (caused by triple whammy of
flu
, Strep A and staph) - been there 6 weeks, 4 of them on a ventilator/trachy. Was previously fit and healthy - no underlying conditions or hospital admissions so the severity was a total shock for us all.

Flu vaccine side effects
hi all - being asthmatic in the UK I’ve had my
flu
jab for many years now. Sometimes I feel ropey for 24/48hrs after and sometimes not. Just wondering if anyone else has been hit quite hard by this years? It’s clearly better than getting
flu
but it’s been pretty bad.

I just had an attack which started like the worst
flu
ever and burning back pain and headache and stiff neck then all the unpleasant Neuro symptoms followed, unable to walk some days, spasms, Ms hug round my ribs, nausea and an awful feeling in my spine in a morning.

Adrenals and flu jab
Just had an odd reaction to my
flu
jab. Like many of us here, I decided to get separate jabs rather than the two-together that most centres are giving in the UK. I felt alright for about two hours then a huge fatigue swept over me, legs weak, neck stiff, slightly light-headed.

Another covid question Re blood clotting/high risk
At the moment, it just feels like
flu
with a bad chest (not terrible, just raspy and sore). I'm 4 vaccinated so hopefully it doesn't get wildly worse. But I'm only on day 2 and obviously panicking about the risks of it getting severe.

Covid vaccine news
I was never vaxxed and had Covid several months ago, it wasn't so bad - similar to
flu
I guess, although everyone suffers from infections to different degrees.

Over 65 Flu vaccine
I have read that the over 65 vaccine contains an adjuvant and as Ive never had a reaction before with the
flu
vaccine am wondering if this is the reason for this reaction. Has this happened to anyone else ?

Sudden onset extremely High BP and Addisons...????
Over Christmas I was really poorly, started with COVID then the
flu
and then a chest infection, my BP shot back up to 268/167, I couldn't move without my head pounding and feeling like something was going to explode out the side of my temple! Now I'm on amlodypine and Losartan.

hashimotos and the immune system
Please forgive my ignorance, but as someone with hashimotos and currently fighting the
flu
,I was wondering if my body is slower to recover than someone without hashimotos? I've been ill for weeks now and my energy doesn't seem to be returning.

Father of two, cll diagnosed three years ago and the unknown
For the past 6 weeks I've been unwell with what seem to be the
flu
. Not knowing that everyday for the past 2 weeks I've had constant nose bleeds and vomiting after food, or randomly through the day. Night times suck as I spend most of it in the bathroom.

TSH too low
I was due for blood work last week but was sick with what I now believe was the
flu
so I don’t know if that impacted rt3? Also last time I had blood work we lowered my tirosint (t4) from 125 to 112mcg bc tsh was too low.
