What are peoples experiences on vaccines. I am eligible for COVID 19 ( not sure why and drs not sure why apparently it can be some coding thing) and flu (asthma) without pregnancy. I am super scared to have either im currently 5 weeks and 4 days. I get the effects of having either could be bad but for COVID there is no long term studies to show what happens and I had my booster after my chemical at the beginning of the year and then I didn't bleed and had to have medical intervention. Flu i'm am more comfortable with but worried about having it in the first trimester. It has taken so much to get this far im at a loss of what to do. Im a lecturer so mixing with students.

Hey! I had both in 2nd trimester.
Currently have covid (a mild dose) and so glad I did it.
But exactly the same as you, was very nervous.
I preferred 2nd trimester...as I don't think they have data on 1st trimester - but I could be wrong.
I was 16 weeks...I felt bad for 1 day after covid vaccine but then woke up 100% fine the day after....
Tbh I do feel like they don't know the side effects, but I couldn't risk the winter without it.
Ps I work in a Uni and got it from students...

I waited until 12 weeks to have covid. They only give you specific ones if you are pregnant. Like Eb I was unwell for 24 hours afterwards but then fine - but tbh most people I know who had Moderna and weren’t pregnant had the same. I planned to have covid at 13 weeks but currently a bit under the weather so will have it as soon as I am better. I was told by my doctor you could have either at any time but after 12 weeks felt better to me x
i also work in a uni too and previously in NHS. On my letter it say wait 7 days inbetween the covid and flu. I have my covid booked already. To be honest I think if they are offering it to me I will take it. 😊 But any concerns you have speak to your doctor!
