Hi I’d like your insight on my results. The left is from august and the right is from last week. I was due for blood work last week but was sick with what I now believe was the flu so I don’t know if that impacted rt3? Also last time I had blood work we lowered my tirosint (t4) from 125 to 112mcg bc tsh was too low. I’ve lowered it twice and my tsh has gone from .04 to .09 the first time but this time it didn’t budge I’m nervous doctor will want to lower it again. I also take 5mcg of compounded liothyronine. My vitamin d is at 55 and my ferritin is above normal bc I had an infusion last month. What are your thoughts on lowering meds or remedies? I have been strict paleo for going on three years so diet is good.
TSH too low: Hi I’d like your insight on my... - Thyroid UK
TSH too low
Your TSH is suppressed because you are taking Liothyronine. Your doctor should not be reducing your meds because of your TSH, but should be looking at your T3 and T3 levels, AND how you are feeling.
Most important results are ALWAYS Ft3 followed by Ft4
Test early morning, ideally before 9am and last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test
Day before test split T3 into 2 x 2.5mcg and take last dose approx 8-12 hours before before test
TSH is frequently low/suppressed when adequately treated on levothyroxine plus T3
No B12 or folate result?
I have this problem with my gp every time I have blood tests done. They’ve reduced my dosage from 150 mcg to 125 mcg Levothyroxine a few years ago and want to reduce it further because my TSH is practically non existent. My T3 is within normal range but I have bradycardia and am overweight and tired still. I have to explain every time that I still have hypothyroid symptoms and absolutely no hyperthyroid symptoms and that if they reduce my dosage anymore I may stop functioning altogether! As others have said your T3 and how you feel are what should dictate your dosage.
