All Change and on List for Ablation - a post-cardiologist update
He has prescribed 2 x daily 50mg of
flecainide
to start on Tuesday, and an EGC after 7 days to check how the
flecainide
affects me. I felt this was a lot to take in, but I was sort of relieved that he seemed to have a plan.

Flecainide
So now I am trialling
flecainide
50mg twice a day. My cardiologist says if I can tolerate this for 7 days and the ecg is normal I could take it as a pill in the pocket just when I have an attack. My question is that after only 7 days can I just stop taking it

AF medicines check.
The cardioversion was successful and I was then put on
Flecainide
50 mgs twice a day. I take 1.25 mg Bisoprolol and 5mg Apixaban twice daily. I have not had any checks for these medicines like blood tests and only 1 blood pressure check in nearly two years.

Still in hospital and being a wimp....
Have been in hospital ever since being pumped full of all sorts of stuff (IV
flecainide
; IV amiadarone through arm, the through neck!) And now digoxin. I've told them nothing ever worked before but they don't want to do a T.O.E. because of my blocked nostrils.

CHAD score
I got them to reduce the
flecainide
down to 50mg twice a day and the metoprolol to 25 twice a day in September. Still no issues with afib. All ok. I have stopped the
flecainide
on dec 2nd. With zero issues. I'm finding the Xarelto burns my stomach a bit as well.

Very short bouts of AF.
I've either sat the attacks out or took
Flecainide
PIP. Anyone else experienced this. Twice now, within a couple of months l've experienced very short bouts of what l think was AF. The first bout lasted for only about 15 - 20 seconds which was quite intense.

Endocarditis concerns
As for a heart murmur, I’ve had PVCs for years so irregular heart beats happen all the time (I take
Flecainide
and Verapamil for that) and I wouldn’t know how to distinguish them from a murmur. Any thoughts would be very welcome. Thanks.

Ablation for SVT today
I am going take take
flecainide
50 mg twice daily instead of as PIP in the meantine. Op was ok and relatively pain free Except from groin area catheter entry point which was pressed on for majority of time to stop bleeding. Wasn’t the outcome I was expecting 😕.

Flecainide and blackouts
Hi. I am on flexainide as a PIP. Twice now having used it I converted to sinus but blacked out for seconds as I felt a rush to my head. My heart rate is 40. Anyone experience this. Love reading the experiences of other fibbers.

Recent continuous AF Update
UPDATE The upshot of my appointment today is that I have been given
Flecainide
to take for a month. The Bisoprolol has been lowered to 1.25 a day from 3.75 , and 50mg
Flecainide
twice a day. Fingers crossed this will work. If it doesn’t then he will consider an ablation.

Flecainide
I have been advised to try a second cardioversion with the aid of
flecainide
one week before and 2 weeks after- in preference to using amiodorone which I do not like the sound of - would
flecainide
be more user friendly than amiodorone ? any thoughts appreciated thanks

So several people said post what your cardiologist says today at review
Shall I reduce my
Flecainide
down to 100 mg per day? Answer = why its working isn’t it. 2. Why have I got cold feet while on
Flecainide
? Answer = no idea but different drugs affect people differently 3. What do you think about taking magnesium?

Bending down starting arrhythmia - a solution?
I have always had problems when I bend down - before taking
Flecainide
it triggered what I called AF then and since starting
Flecainide
it causes tachycardia and ectopics and general malaise. I have been experimenting on how to bend without the misery and might have a solution.

AF and gallbladder removal.
Flecainide
has halted my bouts of SVT but a new arrhythmia has now developed. HB is a steady 54 during them but I get breathless and a strange feeling in my chest with flip flops. Now I scheduled for a gallbladder removal under GA next Friday.
