Flecainide

Those of you who take Flecainide daily have you experienced PAF after a vaccine, or does Flecainide prevent? Thanks again.

Has anyone had their flecainide/Eliquis dosages revised based on their QRSd readings?

I’m taking 50mg of Flecainide twice a day. The Flecainide does not seem to be helping my arrhythmia very much so I was wondering if I can take a PIP while I’m on the daily dose of Flecainide? And if so how, how often can you take the PIP? And would 100mg of Flecainide be enough for the PIP?

Well controlled on Bisoprolol for 8 years then Flecainide for 2 years but then episodes increased. Was on Flecainide 50mg twice a day and 1.25mg Bisoprolol. Due to more frequent episodes Flecainide increased to 100mg twice a day and 1.25mg Bisoprolol. Alter 2 weeks Had bad reaction to increase.

I am currently taking 50mg of Flecainide as a PIP. The first couple of tablets seemed to cause no side effects. However, I experienced a 24 hr upset stomach (vomiting) which triggered AF. I took 50mg of Flecainide which I subsequently threw up.

just had my 4th cardioversion which kept me in sinus for just a week now Afib returned was on flecainide,Nebivolo,,apaxiban - never had usual symptoms like thumping or palpitations - just tiredness - cardio tells me no point in another cardioversion or ablation - just take medication without flecainide

I was taking Flecainide for many years but my cardiologist has said that since AF is now permanent there is no point in taking Flecainide to control the uncontrollable!

I'm thinking I should start taking Flecainide. Are tests absolutely necessary first? Has anyone here been started on F without any tests whatsoever? I thought that my GP indicated to me that he could and would start me on F on his own, without any hassle.

I was given Flecainide 50mg pill in the pocket when I have an episode. Despite losing 10% of my body weight, avoiding big meals especially late and cutting out alcohol, I just had my longest episode yet at 14 hours, which I rode out at home and it has just ended.

lol but when I work hard sometimes I get high bpm readings about 170bpm I stop work rest and it drops back to about 70 /80 bpm .my question is will flecainide stop the high bpm and has anyone split a 50 mg flecainide as cardiologist let's me adjust tablets to suit as nothing works and I am reporting

Has anyone stopped taking Flecainide cold turkey? I have been told to stop taking it after being on it years. I thought l would have to wean myself off it slowly

I am on propanolol ER and when it occurs I take flecainide 100mg PIP. It stops after a few hours. But lately flec has not been too effective. My cardiologist wants me to switch the propafenone 225mg. as PIP. Has anyone had any experience with this?

It has been suggested by my cardiologist that I could try Flecainide as an antiarrhymic medication. I have resisted it as I’m not keen on the possible side affects but wondered whether other Afib sufferers had experience of Flecainide.

Was prescribed Flecainide as a pip which l used, back into sinus within 24 hours. My episodes are now 3-4 a month so my EP advised me to take a maintenance dose of 100mg a day. I've now had 5 breakthroughs in the last 3 weeks! Is this a normal acceleration of AF or is Flecainide making it worse?

So yesterday, as i have put up in another post, i said i was given Bisoprolol to take daily (1 x 2.5mg tablet) along with Flecainide ( 1 x 50mg tablet twice a day). I took my first Bisoprolol yesterday when i got home from the hospital.

I have been given the green light to proceed with flecainide. Given the frequency of my bouts the prescribed dosage is 2 x 50mg daily. Question to fellow warriors: Have your AF episodes entirely halted, decreased, or showed no change since using flecainide? Thank you.

Due to the flecainide not working for me, my doctor wants me to go on this drug. I’m really hesitant to try another drug because of the Flecainide not working. Just wondering if anyone has ever tried this medication and if so, did it work?

I've read that it shouldn't be taken with flecainide, atorvastatin, or omeprazole, all of which I take! The doctor hasn't given me any warnings.

My prescription is as follows: 2 x 60mg Diltiazem daily 2 x 150mg Dabigatran daily 1 x 20mg Atorvastatin daily Normally no side effects with any of the above. 50 to 100mg Flecainide as a PIP I experienced an PAF episode at 5.00 am this morning, HR was 102 (not too high) I took 50mg of Flecainide
