loperamide pregnancy
I have zero choice but to take loperamide a few times a week due to how bad my IBS-D is. I’m currently 18.5 weeks pregnant and my dr has been zero help at all only telling me I can’t take it but all other medications I’ve tried in the past don’t help. If I don’t take it I end up incontinent or cannot

Update on progress and advice needed
Hi all I don’t know whether you recall our story… my husband was in a RTA on 24/11 and woke from coma on 22/12. He has now at 9 weeks been discharged from ICU and moved to a Neuro/rehab ward and is waiting assessment. After a tricky weaning off the ventilator he has now had his trachy removed.

IBS and loperamide
I have IBS which is normally controllable with loperamide. Is it possible to become intolerant to the brand of loperamide that I am using? On the last 2 occasions, my attacks became much worse after taking my usual brand. This has never happened before. Has anyone else ever had this problem? Does anyone

Desperately need help pls
So since last writing my previous post my Son has been experiencing “cluster seizures” - whereby he goes into a trance like state, talks gibberish and he can’t remember events and has no memory of what has happened. He has had approximately 3 or 4 of these “events” between May and December. The December

Cardiovascular issues
Anybody out there with extra-cranial GCA / LVV, have any cardiovascular issues? I was having some shortness of breath, sleepiness & lightheadedness. I'm in the middle of testing for that, but a CAT scan showed I have a dilated aortic root and pericardial effusion. Those explained my symptoms, but neither

Research paper about T3/T4combination treatment. What happened there?
I became aware of this through "Endocrinology Advisor": https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/38124252/ The link to the paper was not given. I found it myself. "Conclusions: Six months of combination therapy with twice-daily LT3 dose adapted according to TSH-level do not significantly change peripheral tissue

Reason for constipation
Is there much research or understanding about why children and toddlers are getting constipated so much? It seems so many are being treated for constipation but I haven't seen any discussions on why this constipation is happening to try and avoid it. I understand low fibre and reduced fluid intake can

Flare or Adrenal Crisis
During the Christmas period I had a series of very stressful situations , including transatlantic travel. Upon returning I experienced extreme burning pain in my neck, arms, shoulders and groin. I could barely get out of bed. It was the same pain I experienced when I was first diagnosed with PMR 2 1
