Nearly 6 y old son who is having issues with faecal soiling and wet accidents.

Has been on Movicol for 3 years - several disimpactions with the most recent in December. Best success yet having got up to 12 sachets and brown water. Continued for 24 h and got more solid poo out so did further 24 hours. Have had 3-4 weeks accident free. Have anlso andded in 2.5 mg sodium picosulfate. Eating better and better behaviour too. Back to school for one week and wet accident on Saturday, followed by poo accident Saturday and again tonight. Since disimpaction poo been very soft/explosive. Yesterday was type 4-5 but in the loo

Seems very quick to need to disimpact again… but think that might be what we need to do. Confused that we have got bunged up again after 4 sachets a day/sodium picksulfate daily and regular sitting on loo with good effect- how can we be backed up again and how is this ever going to end.?! Feeling very dejected and desperate

Have a routine at home, like they would at school so 1st in a morning, break time/ before lunch/ after lunch. Mid afternoon and after tea/ before bed. Plenty fluids and fibre/ prunes help. Chia seeds really help can be mixed in gravy/ beens/ yogurt. It will get better, 1s you have a routine and if teachers can do it. Then if a reguler routine he'll soon get straight, just don't do the shouting thing. Walk away its frustrateing. Music and fidget toy/ bubbles helped us. Allowed fidget ketring at school, might help.
