Progynova tablets

Hi,

I’ve started taking Progynova and am 2 days in, but have an awful headache and slight sickness. I have seen some comments that others have had the same, and my clinic did warn me I may have these side effects. But has anyone done anything different ie taken them all before you go to sleep?

The past two days I’ve done two in the morning and two in the evening, but thinking maybe I need to take them before I go to sleep.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Hi Gem. Try drinking a lot more water, as the drug works o the pituitary gland in the brain and water seems to settle it. Good luck. Diane

Hi Gem

I’m sending you virtual hugs! The side effects are tough. Drinking ALOT of water helps! I was taking 3 a day and had set times. 8:30a, 2:30p and 8:30p. My first week was horrible. After 14days my clinic reduced the dosage to two a day after my first scan of my uterine lining. My transfer is less than 2weeks away and now I’m only taking morning and evening. The headaches won’t completely go away but water and fruit bars have been my saving grace! When you’re tired, rest! 💕 Good luck!!

I had side effects, so clinic gave me estrogen patches that I wore and changed every third day and took 2 Progynova after evening meal. This helped up balance it out for me, perhaps you can ask your clinic about doing something similar if it aligns with your med plan. X

Hi, I was on a dose of 4 a day and one of the nurses suggested taking all 4 literally right before sleep so any side effects wouldn’t be noticed as I’d be sleeping. I did this and my only side effect was mood swings. On the flip side though, one of the other nurses said taking before sleep could affect sleep. I think it’s just trial and error to see what works best unfortunately. Good luck though!
