Preparing for SSR outcomes
Hi all, After a grueling wait of many months, my husband is finally scheduled for a trial surgical sperm retrieval on 27th September. His previous sperm samples have found no sperm, so we're both on edge at this stage. Does anyone know what happens in the event they don't find sperm? We're having

Traveling and tapering, What's my problem?
I'm asking my forum friends that, because I'm asking myself the same question. I had an incredibly uplifting trip to Maine for nine days and returned on August 27. My level of activity was high and I didn't seem to tire. I visited/or they came to my hotel...all my old friends and my family even drove

Struggling to cope after botched laser procedure on face
I had a laser treatment abroad for spider veins on and around my nose. I was left with second degree burns on one side of my nose. After a couple of weeks the scabs came off and I saw I have been left with several large and very deep pits/holes which are very disfiguring. I am not sure how much improvement

Parkrun (and a bit)
On 7 May 2019, I graduated C25K. Four days later, I ran my first Parkrun. The time that day was 36:45. Back then, Parkrun was simply one of my three runs a week as I consolidated my running at 30 minutes/5k. Soon, the 5k would become one of my runs as I followed ju-ju-'s plan to get to 10k and, when

Imposter syndrome
Please excuse me, feel a bit embarrassed having to bring this up, but was wondering if anyone else has experienced similar to myself. I fell 30 feet 40 years ago, suffered a period of unconsciousness, amnesia both pre and post fall, couple of months hospital in-patient admission, speech and physiotherapies

Hralthcare Professionals
Whilst I realise & recognize that the HPs (Healthcare Professionals) on my ward have a lot of patients to attend to as well as me, & recognize they all do an EXEMPLARY job under very stressful & difficult circumstances (as do all the doctors nurses on both day & night shift) - a few of them seem to

I haven't written for a while but I want to ask if anyone has gone through this. My husband is 9 months down the line after a traumatic brain injury, he is still in hospital rehab, he's doing great. Walking well with a stick and he can do most things himself, get dressed, eat his meals he's doing

Sharing a child with an ex partner with a brain injury.
Hi, I posted on here over a year ago when I was trying to free myself from the emotional ties of an abusive partner with a brain injury. We are not a couple anymore and haven’t been for about a year or more. He was short tempered with my older children and I, physically abusive and controlling. He now

anyone had a traumatic transfer and had a bfp?
hi ladies, I had my 6th (and final) transfer today. It didn’t go well. I hadn’t drank enough water and they struggled to get the catheter in. They had 3 different ones and two different doctors had a go. The embryo had to go back into warming whilst they eventually got the catheter in. Home now

Exhaustion has me flattened…
I have had phlebotomies since January. I got a break from May to June from them. Had another in July and one in August where they took 600ml. My Dr increased Peg to weekly injections of 45mcg 3 weeks ago, maybe 4. I am very breathless and my heart races if I do anything but sit. My local Dr would not

12 year old boy still having night time accidents
My son is 12 and has always had trouble with wetting himself. He took ages to be consistently dry during the day but never had any trouble with that now. I think he just didn’t want to take time out of his day to go to the toilet! Grew out of daytime wetting by the time he was about 8. He often wets

how long to plan for disimpaction?
Hi, I've only just discovered this website. My 5 year old boy has been having poo accidents since he was toilet trained at 3. Last year we were referred to the bladder and bowel service after a lot of persuading the health visitor. We have had 2 appointments with them. He has been on 1 sachet
