Tongue tie....
Not sure if anyone has any positive post tongue tie procedure breastfeeding stories to share? We have been recommended to get this done and I am so sceptical this will change any of our feeding issues.... I am dreading the actual procedure too for my baby as I has this with my first child and I found

Disimpacted 9 year old and still soiling
my 9 year old has been suffering with chronic constipation for 6 years, we are all at our wits end. It is hugely affecting my, but more importantly her, mental health. At the beginning of July we had a hospital stay for disimpaction via a NG tube. This was effective. Doctor prescribed 5 ml of sodium

3 year old poop withholding journey
My 3 year old daughter has been poop withholding on and off for a year. Lucky she has never had any poop accidents because I would never let her go more than 3 days without a poop- I would put a suppository. She was on senna for 3 weeks and we slowly weened her off until she would poop everyday on her

Besremi vs hydroxurea
new to this community. Diagnosed with JAK2 in 2019 via BMB. Transitioned to PV last year. Have had 4 monthly phlebotomies since. New BMB last month confirmed PV with additional mutation of IDH1. Have been on hydroxurea since March 15 and still needing phlebotomy. Doctor suggesting Pegasus or Besremi.

UK Concussion Guidelines for Grassroots Sport
The UK government, which has some responsibility for sport in England, has sponsored these guidelines for concussion in sport. As a sports coach it seems useful and important. https://www.sportandrecreation.org.uk/policy/research-publications/concussion-guidelines http://sramedia.s3.amazonaws.com/

Two interesting articles
Here are links to two interesting articles. The first one details the benefits of exercise in preventing AF (it’s not clear if this applies to those who already have AF). The second-an older one which has been posted before but can probably stand repetition-details the negative effects of even small

Happy Monday 😊
Good morning all, well after finally getting an appointment with the Chest clinic at the hospital, after my phoned appointment was cancelled four times. I got to see a specialist. I have had COPD for years now, taken lots of different inhalers. The specialist told me I have severe COPD, and told Trimbow

RLS weird feeling
With my RLS I get a weird feeling at the same time all throughout my nervous system. I’ve always called it a “negative orgasm”. It happens at the instant of sleep. I seem to be getting just the weird feeling all over my body now without even any movement in my foot. It just keeps me awake. The Horizant

Need help please to manage one more sympton
Thank you collogues, for your sharings, that have helped me physically, emotionally and mentally. I am a 70-year-old male diagnosed with PD last Nov 22. After trial and error with some medicines, I settled, from early Jan 23, on Sifrol with 6 tablets per day (0.18mg). This produced the magic I was praying

chronic diarrhoea 4 days.
I honestly feel like just stopping the prednisolone. It’s one thing after another. Nothing is staying in my stomach and I feel so weak. Any advice appreciated. Do I take Imodium? 🙏

Prednislone and Anxiety
I've been reducing from 20mg pred since November 2022, currently on 11mg. Since Christmas I have had episodes of extreme anxiety, depression, mood swings and tearfulness. My Rheumy this morning suggested swapping to Betamethasone which does not cross the blood/brain barrier. However, when I researched

Ablation recovery
My husband had a cardiac ablation 10 days ago . On discharge he wasn't given any information other than rest. We don't know what recovery looks like? He is extremely tired after just a little bit of exertion eg he folded up his clothes and tidied his wardrobe yesterday, calmly, slowly. And was then exhausted
