Any experience/results with alternative therapies?
If any of you have experiences to share it would be much appreciated! I have tried an independent nutritionist (bad experience - one session cost me £100 and the only thing she recommended which has been of any use is Epsom salts!) and am about to go for my second acupuncture session this week. The first

At my first haematologist appointment (Jan 2013) I was asked to stop taking the supplements and just take the
Ferrous
Sulphate
tablets prescribed daily (as well as the meds for thyroid and osteoporosis).

Folate, zinc, Vitamin D
I've got a printout of my latest blood tests done at the end of May. I know the ferritin is low, but I'm wondering if the folate, zinc, and vitamin D could be better? Serum folate 7.9ug/l [2.1 - 14.0] Zinc 10.1 umol/l [10.0-18.0] I don't think I have any signs of zinc deficiency Vitamin

Low ferritin - anyone else had it? And the issue of who monitors your bloods......
Wey hey I thought, a solution, the gp rang and glibly said, take
ferrous
sulphate
. I asked if she had noticed anything odd about my tests recently and she said all looked ok.

A bit of creativity after emptying my purse at Holland and Barrett!
Slight fib, because I bought the menopace and
ferrous

at boots, but this is poetic license! ;-)

Do you have to feel worse on T3 before you feel better?
I have recently started on T3 and I'm still titrating the dose - currently on 50mcg split as 37.5 (7.30am), 6.25 (11.30 am) and 6.25 (3.30pm). My basal temperature has twice got to 36.6 C after the first dose, but it quickly falls back so I assume that I'm under-medicated and have a way to go. The
