Famotidine

I take - half of 40mg tab famotidine 2/3 hours before - 1 x 100mg capsule of acalabrutnib Both in evening time. Dies anyone have reaction particularly to famotidine?

GP has now prescribed Famotidine instead , and how common are stomach ulcers due to the Prednisolone? Thank you

hi all - I was just put on Famotidine due to ongoing “full” feeling and nauseous most of the time. Unfortunately I had just about got my BM sorted to vaguely normal with diet, yoga and bio kult boosted.

She has prescribed me Famotidine. Which has instantly made an improvement. We get done stool and bloods which came back fine and she has just sent off for another stool test for inflammation of stomach. Has anyone experienced anything similar? Any feedback on Famtidine?

Dr felt my stomach for thr bloating and straight away said IBS and that he would give me famotidine and mebeverine for 2 weeks. This has helped massively, I ran out of the famotidine this week and the past 2 days I feel like I'm back at square one I was hoping it would feel better.

He thought my problem was due to GERD and suggested famotidine. My GP sent a prescription for famotidine which I have not started yet (the side effects which others suffer seem horrendous).

. 🙌🏽 Prescribed famotidine and lansoprazole which take the edge off but does not relieve me of the tight/bloated sensation so next steps are referral. Has anyone experience this before and If so what tests will they be carrying out?

As I am 77 years old have been told that I should also be taking Famotidine to prevent The steroids causing bleed in stomach. Do other people take this or lanzaprosol to stop this happening.

I don’t see any options and I think I was assigned to the AF community because I asked a question of one of the AF community members who had posted about Ranitidine use and substituting with Famotidine.

I also take prednisolone and famotidine for polymyalgia.For the last few months I am finding I have to clear my throat of some phlegm, it's not frequent and doesn't bother me too much and I have no other symptoms such as breathlessness etc, but it's so annoying and I am unsure if it's from my throat

I take omeprazole at 5 p.m. and famotidine at 10 p.m. along with other pain releif and anti sickness meds... am baffled...obvs hair fallout, dry skin etc, sleeping from about midnight to 6 am, then napping on and off couple hrs at a time until around 4pm.

Was hoping that things would be a lot better by now though 😕 The weight gain is a big problem too as I have GIT problems and take both Omeprazole and Famotidine (2 hour windows observed). Surely things should be a lot better by now? Have an appointment on 15th so will ask him re this too.

I have since switched to famotidine and am doing a plant based diet. Doctor wants to recheck in a few months and recommended lots of water daily. I drink at least 6 to 8 glasses of water every day. Is there anything else I can do to improve the test scores? Thank you.

I talked to my doctor and she ended up giving me a PPI and famotidine to take, which helped at the time, but my symptoms have started to come back again since I finished the meds. Recently, I have been incredibly constipated (about 1 week) despite a normal diet and plenty of water.

The good news is that I'm not getting the epigastric pain and other gastric symptoms are being controlled by famotidine at night. But since upping the dose I've been getting tingling lips and across cheek, , like having been to the dentist.

phone appointment with her yesterday, she has written to my Resp Consultant re prescribing Azithromycin, now that it's been sanctioned by the Cardiologist; changed my repeat prescription to include a lesser quantity of Doxycycline (won't need so many if the Azithromycin script comes through), added Famotidine

I’ve been on famotidine and omeprazole for a bit. I thought I was getting better in the summer but lately I’ve been feeling sick again, haven’t eaten in a few days because I’ve lost my appetite again and I’ve lost a lot of weight from not eating throughout my sickness.

It may be a coincidence but I have recently been taking a high dose of Famotidine for acid reflux I have had for decades. Does anyone else have AF but not elevated pulse rate? Also has anyone experienced heart problems with Famotidine?
