Good report
Had my every 6 month check up with the hepatologist today. Labs were all good. My alk phos is 121 - normal range for my lab is 37-153. Kidney function good as well.. always make sure part of your regular lab work is a comprehensive metabolic profile (CMP). Now just to make myself committed to making

Advice please on blood results especially possible iron issues.
I would be very grateful for any advice on my recent blood results please. I am concerned that for first time ever MCH and MCHC are just over range. My serum B 12 has historically been at top of range without supplementing. This has now dropped lower although still high in range. Never feel well although

Who is confused? My surgery or me?
I was asked by the GP to remind him, when I reached 3mg in my tapering, that I should have a synacthen test. I have now done so. However, I am being sent for an ACTH blood test Is this the same thing (I don't think so as I have not been asked to miss the steroid dose and there is no indication that

Gluten or dairy free?
Hi everyone. I have posted previously about raised antibodies (Anti-TG 347 range <115, and Anti-TPO 53.6 range <34) Now having got my head around this, I can considering a gluten free diet to try to reduce the inflammation. My thyroid appears to be working normally - most recent results with a 9am

Fatigued with anxiety
Hi, I have hypothyroidism which was diagnosed three years ago and am currently on Levothyroxine 100mg daily. My memory has improved to a more normal level but I wake up every morning barely able to open my eyes and in work I am able to function, but I lack sharpness and feel detached, almost like I am

Thyroid meds with calcium?
Hi, I am taking .100T4 and 4.5 T3 in a.m. I take 4.5 T3 at noon and again at mid-afternoon. I have severe osteoporosis--Tscore -4.1. I am having a very hard time fitting in calcium (two 500mg doses), iron, and magnesium, all of which I need and have to be taken apart from each other. I also take

Perplexing results. I wondered if anyone had any thoughts?
I was wondering if any one had any thoughts on my results I’m 14 years post RAI and have been on levothyroxine for 8 years and I seem to be very sensitive to dose change. I don’t have thyroid antibodies just a toxic adenoma. They run my T4 higher around 19- 22 for conversion for T3, my consultant

When to take my T3
Is it ok to take T3 first thing in the morning at the same time as other meds. I take statins and BP meds in the morning and my Levo at night. Or should I just take it at night with my Levo.

TSAT low, ferretin high
Dear fellow sufferers in RLS hell. My sleep medicine doctor suggested an iron infusion because my TSAT is 28,87% while my ferretin is 145,40ng/ml. I was taking iron supplement for 6 months before the test. I am not very knowledgeable about the difference between TSAT and ferritin. How high are

FT3 results following introducing T3
Following on from a couple of people's suggestions from a previous post I have tested my thyroid hormone levels sooner than planned as I did a fast T3 protocol. I am on 50 mcg of T4 and 31.25 mcg of T3. I have been on 31.25 mcg for 3 weeks. I take T3 x3 per day (12.5mcg, 12.5mcg, 6.25mcg). Here are

Dose of Levo lowered
Hi, My GP lowered my thyroxine from 150mcg to 125 mcg as my TSH was 0.01 after the January blood test My TSH has been low for years. There was no discussion about how I felt and no option to stay on 150mcg. Results from Monitor my Health as GP refuses to test anything other than TSH! Both tests

Help with thyroid results
Hi, I would appreciate any advice please. Just had some blood tests done as I am trying to find out why I am so tired. My TSH is 1.27, FT3 4.4, and FT4 13.5 My Free throxyine is the lowest it's ever been but TSH still 'normal'. I am cold and gaining weight. I don't feel good. Any advice on how

If we accept that PD is basically a metabolic dysfunction...then electrolytes
The metabolic dysfunction theory as I understand it, states that the energy production factories inside the cells, i.e. the mitochondria, are for some reason not producing sufficient energy supply for the cells to survive, thus they die off. For instance, the dramatic decrease of dopaminergic neurons

hopefully getting somewhere!!
Having been treated for hypothyroidism since 2000 when I had a thyroid nodule, I have struggled with my weight and wellbeing to varying degrees over the years. I'm now 79, but active. I saw an Endo privately in October had a few blood tests which I have posted, (including Medichecks in Feb I think)

Help with dose and testing please
I’m arranging tests ahead of an endocrinology appointment but realise I’m not sure how to adjust / time my T3 dose ahead of this. I take my 40mcg T3 in a single dose at around 9:30-10pm. I’ve tried breaking the dose down but always feel slightly undermedicated. Seems for me at least the saturating

I was diagnosed with OP about 10 years ago due to an early menopause at 38 and was put on the weekly medication of Alendronic Acid along with calcichew. Everything was ok until 2021 when I had emergency abdominal surgery, I was in ICU for nine days and my family were told I only had a 30% chance of

How do you come down from the pred high?
I wrote what follows as a response to someone else mentioning the pred high but then realised it should have been a new post. So here it is again, edited and with a heading. I seem to feel hyperactive all the time, at the moment, especially if I do exercises. Last night I went out to the local exercise
