Goitrogens
I've just discovered that there is a group of foods called Goitrogens. Every day I have a berry and Kale smoothy - thinking myself to be very healthy. Now I find out that large amounts of uncooked berries and Kale can cause hypothyroidism and restrict the beneficial effects of Levothyroxine and T3.

I want to give up. I have no energy to keep going.
Hi all, I've been suffering for the past many years. Since 2022 everything went downhill and I had to quit my job as I can't function. I'm 40 years old. I was tested for everything under the sun and everything is down to thyroid. I have Hashis. I have tried many med combos, everything fails on me. Recently

Assistance with T3 source please
Hi would appreciate if anyone can assist with a reliable T3 source please. Ideally I am looking for tabs that I can split into small doses i.e. 5cmg as extra T3 to take (and titrate slowly upwards) alongside my morning dose of T4/T3. Posting this in line with the moderators rule of this forum below

Is it B12 anemia? I’m confused.
Hello all, I’m new here and not sure if I need to pursue some concerns I have with my health so wondered if anyone could possible give me some advice/guidance. I’ve always been tired, (it’s a family joke!), struggled with gut issues (mainly constipation), and in the last 5 or so years had terrible brain

breathless when hypothyroid?
I am currently “dysthyroid” as my gp puts it. Briefly - diagnosed with hypothyroid disease in 2016 (all antibodies negative). Since starting transdermal hrt in Jan my thyroid levels hv plummeted (result posted recently but roughly T4 7.2 (11-22) and T3 2 (3.2-6.8). These results are from when I was taking

Fertility Testing Recommendations
1 - What tests do you recommend for before/during IVF? 2 - What tests do you recommend after miscarriage? 3 - Any clinics globally you recommend for testing? (Based in the UK. Travel to Europe is ideal) Tests completed so far (Jun 2024): - Full blood count - APS screening - Laproscopy and dye test

Binding globulins...
Anyone got a good handle on these, please? The reason I ask is that I have had 3 months of increasingly debilitating fatigue. I take T3 only and was on 100mcg, which took me 70% through the range, I have also tried 125mcg which takes me well over the top, but still tiredddddd. I have tested cortisol

Levo with someprazole and bisoprolol
Is there any reason why I cannot take Levothyroxine at the same time as esomesprazole and Bisoprolol? I KNOW Levo should be taken an hour before anything else but just want to know if anything in these other meds would prevent thyroxine uptake. Thank you.

Need something to cling to
Hi all, I’m at a loss, in my previous post I had been started on a very low dose of T3 - 2.5mcg x twice daily this was a disaster I could not function with all day headaches and dreadfully low mood and anxiety. My Thyroid doc said I could try increasing the 50mcg T4 to 75, three days in and same

Semaglutide not working
My daughter recently restarted oral Semaglutide after not being able to take it due to its unavailability. It really helped when she first started it with weight loss and improved readings. Her recent Hba1c has Increased considerably, however, along with weight gain. Does anyone have any idea why this

Weird test results
I tried to post my results the other day in the hope that one of our amazing Admins might be kind enough to give their opinion but the photo came out blurred for some reason. I take 3 grains of Armour which I’ve been doing since 2017 and up to now have been ok. However the last three to four months

confused but relieved
so today I went for a second opinion to another neurologist. My last grf was 48. It has been 36. He didn’t seem concerned. As he said people with stage three can live along time. My creative was 1.2 Which was not bad according to him. He found no blood in my urine. My blood pressure was fine. He

unknown rash
hi everyone! Last week I posted pictures of my son’s face rash asking if it looked like cutaneous lupus. For those who are just reading now, he had this rash for about two months now— started on his ear which was raw red then went away. A few weeks later the rash developed bright red spots on his face

Negative test results - Gutted
Hi, I'm new to this group but have found it very useful during the TWW. I've just undergone my first ICSI cycle and today did a pregnancy test. It was negative and despite trying to be prepared it's hit me hard. I'm 39 years old, turning 40 this year. Had an ecoptic pregnancy 2 years ago and after almost

MediAlert bracelet for private T3 anybody?
A post by Rapunzel mentioned someone who was left untreated with T3 in hospital as they were on a private prescription. It made me think on the idea of getting a MediAlert bracelet for the private T3 issue. I wondered if anyone does this already and am interested in opinions as to whether the hospitals

Technical question-is there a difference between making your own T3 or taking synthetic T3 physically?
Could you feel a difference between the 2? I wondered whether making your own might reach other places the synthetic stuff might not be able to reach? Or are they both exactly the same? Thanks.
