The MRI scan
Hello, As you're all so kind in answering my many questions, I just thought I'd update on the MRI scan (pelvis) and hopefully if anyone who is awaiting their first one is reading, give some insights. Firstly, making sure to have no metal clasps on clothes was helpful so no need to get changed into

Please anyone out there with vitrectomy procedure. I had a small tear five days ago and my RS laser it but now I am left with this big floater that’s in my central vision very blurry and uncomfortable. He said your brain will adjust to it but I don’t think so. I am looking into all options since my

Woke up at 5 am Sunday morning with severe pain under right shoulder blade which remained all day despite maxing out on paracetamol. In the evening I dug out some codeine tablets I had for sciatica last year and added those with similarly little improvement. Monday was more of the same except by now

tooth extraction
my problem still hasn’t gone 😞. It’s been 3 weeks since my tooth extraction and it got infection .. hfmd has bin and gone but the toothache seems to be there still! Can it spread to other teeth? Coz I feel like the pain has spread to teeth on that side. Still have to take painkillers. Made an emergency

Is there any way of saying "Enough", I do not want to receive anymore medical care or medications, they are doing me more harm than good!
The medication I am receiving is causing me more pain than anything else! It is getting worse, more endless appointments, more reactions, more pain, getting ABSOLUTELY NOWHERE! I just want to stop all this treatment, just bare survival medication, I have at least three life threatening conditions, medications

Pain medication advise - Gabapentin
Firstly, I understand no one can give medical advice. But any help in the right direction would be gratefully received. I have a knee replacement followed by a manipulation last week. I didn't get to speak to the surgeon afterward but my discharge notes said I needed adequate pain relief. I am struggling

Coping with the pain
Hi Guys, Hope everyone's having a good a day as they can. Ever since my lap in July 2 2and diagnosis of endo stage 3 with cysts. The pain has been horrendous, much worse than it was before. I've repeatedly gone back to my drs to ask for pain relief or some help in anyway. Apparently they never

private vs endo centre?
hi, I’m in the fortunate position of having private healthcare through work. I had likely adenosis and long standing deep infiltrating endometriosis identified through an MRI about 9 weeks ago. Initially I said no to surgery (because I was a hit shocked on the call and didn’t know anything about it)

for the last few years I have had sharp stabbing groin pain moving down my upper thigh and sometimes to my foot. I get sensitivity to touch on my thighs when I have flares which happen during ovulation and before my period. I also have stabbing upper abdominal pains (no pattern to the abdominal pain)

Timing of drops and red eye
Hi, I use drops for both eyes and have Monopost (preservative free Latanoprost single unit doses) in the evening as Latanoprost in a bottle caused irritation. Two weeks ago, Brinzolomide 12 hourly was added. ( This does have preservative and may have to be changed. However, it is not causing daily problems

Over cautious Rheumatologist?
I was recently diagnosed with PMR in June 2022. After ER visit and one dose of pred at 60 then 2 days at 40 I have been on 20 mg since. Had first appt with Rheumatologist July 28. We decided to try to taper so I went to 15mg. Pain came back within days. Also have very mild headaches that come and

Awoke with right sided blurry vision
Hi all, been a while since I posted here. Sitting in the ER. I went to sleep at 10:45 last evening. Experienced a very strong hypnagogic hallucination, shortly after 11:15) which I hadn’t experienced in a while. Caused me to jump out of bed. After turning on the lights I realized I had pronounced right

I had NO FIBRO PAIN while I had Covid. Significant?
Dear Community! I got Covid recently, and had NO FIBRO PAIN for 6 weeks. Similar for other viruses I had in the past. Has anyone else noticed this? Could be significant for a future treatment? I'm desperate to find something to help the chronic pain. Fibro affects every aspect of my life. Some days

Looking for guidance
Hi everyone, Sorry if this is a super long post. To give some back ground, I started having very painful periods in 2015 when I came off the contraceptive pill at 20 years old. I came off because I have a breast cancer risk on both sides of my family and I felt that taking the pill was unnecessarily

INF and vision improvement
Some may have seen my issues with eyes since starting Bes. Super light sensitive at my 1st dose period, other vague weirdness, and more recently left eye injury. After a series of eye Dr visits all is good so far. Eye was poked by an eyelash, and light trouble is long gone. I do have light cataracts

I know everyone is different but I had my op last Thursday and the consultant says it has gone well. I had a patch on overnight which was taken off the following morning when I went for a check up. My eye felt sore and achy but really not bad enough to take painkillers. My vision is a little blurry

POEM - NEVER GIVE UP.
POEM – NEVER GIVE UP. I need to write a poem as this all must be said, I find that I need to say this, just before I go to bed. Its about you having a goal, something that affects you And never give up on it, no matter what you do. You may not realise, there are others, others, just like me,
