Not so fast. Mic
Well, I was so boastful. BUT, I went to the morning service on Wednesday morning. I spoke to a retired doctor who told me he was recovering from a soar throat. I said I wouldn't kiss him! But talking to him was enough. during the night, I felt this awful pain in my throat, cold hardly swallow. I rinsed

Vitamin A debate 😊
Hi everyone Looking in my local pharmacy, I didn't see vitamin A. I'm wondering how many of you are taking it. Also how much are you taking? Do you have to order it? I Know your not supposed to take over 10,000 safety. I was thinking cod liver oil. Anyone use that? Do you feel it's helping you

Full blood results raised TSH several highlighted results high b12. Have a look and see what you think?
Hello Full blood results for all you clever people. TSH is raised and antibodies are low. I suspect I've been a bit thyroid odd for a long time but just got on with it and not found it too bad. My mum is also borderline underactive but again, copes with it. I started in March with sudden hair loss,

Evening Primrose/Starflower
I'm not sure how true this is but was told that Evening Primrose and Starflower Oil although excellent to take while on menopause it can make you start to have periods again. I am worried of starting these just in case as I have gone nearly 2 years of not having a period and would rather not have them

Ghrelin for treating PD
I do not know how one would obtain it, but Ghrelin seems to be pretty powerful in treating PD. Here's an article: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2845822/ Prolonged fasting, lighter meals, green tea extract, marijuana, and coconut oil all increase it. It works when taken orally. The MCT's

Searching for the gold within the shadows
I have been inspired by the work on depression of dr Steve illiard (not sure I have the name quite right) There is a brilliant ted talk where he talks of the root causes of depression and he recommends exercise as the most powerful mood enhancer and also

I had my lap 10 days ago, to check for suspected endo and adeno. Dr said he couldn't find endo but did suspect I had adeno. My womb is larger than normal and along

Did all the 'right' things and cholesterol got MUCH worse?!
Last July my total cholesterol was 5.2, LDL 3.9, HDL 1.6, Trigs 0.22. I had been taking Liptor 10mg every other day, but even that small amount was causing unacceptable side-effects (yes, I tried other kinds too), so I stopped. I lost 50lbs, started exercising moderately/intensively for a minimum of

Noisy painful joints
Hi all. So happy to find this forum it's wonderful! I'm at the start of my thyroid journey, think it's going to be a long road ahead.... I've started taking a few supplements to help with certain symptoms, iron for anemia and b12 but the thing I'm not sure is for my joints. They are awfully noisy

T3 the answer?
My endocrinologist is about to start me on a trial of T3 combined with my levothyroxine, and I wondered if anybody else had some experience of this? I'm hoping this is the end to my problems... Some background info: I'm male in my 20s. Diagnosed with Hashimoto's in August last year. TSH was over
