Constipation and laxative use... Help?
Last Saturday I had 50mg of dulcolax and I never went to toilet so yesterday (Wednesday) I had another 50mg of dulcolax and it never worked either, so this morning I went to see my GP and she gave me miralax
enema
and that never worked either.

Still learning to adapt to the changes MS brings.
I was held one more day for observation and was so grateful to this middle-aged nurse and college-aged med tech for bringing me relief that I allowed three of their training young techs to administer an unneeded
enema
to me so that they could be certified on this useful and nearly forgotten about remedy

Staying overnight for laparoscopy
I've not really had much information about what it's all going to be like next week (except that I'll need to have an
enema
the night before). Has anyone had a similar experience? What would you recommend taking in for my overnight stay?

Doctors tell me it's ibs but I think it's way more serious
I started out not being able to BM for three days then diarrhea. Then it led to four months of me having to use laxatives and magnesium citrate to relieve impaction. Ended up in a random emergency room when traveling. X-ray shower very impacted and colitis. After he prescribed four bottles of magnesium

Poo has finally gone.
Just a brief update, after 5 weeks of constipation and a load of Enemas we finally had a nurse say it was impossible and has removed it manually. Very stressful for mum and she is totally shattered. Another waiting game now begins x

What tests do they do?
I’ve been referred to oncology by my go but no idea what tests they will do as I haven’t been asked to do an
enema
or special diet - I was expecting a colonoscopy

Chronic Constipation Since PD Prescription Changed
The
enema
worked, but BMs are still not normal. I believe that the extreme change in my PD treatments is removing all fluids from my intestines. In August, my Kt/V finally reached 1.74 -- which is acceptable but still on the low end.

Advice please.
Mum has been constipated for a minimum 11 days now. She has had 4 enemas in total, today’s one Arachis oil was taken a few hours ago but still no movement. Mum has been through the mill lately and feel this could be fatal. Has anyone else had a similar experience?

Endo symptoms or IBS??
No endo was removed in the lap as they had not asked for an
enema
so couldn't remove anything. I was advised to just keep taking my birth control Cerazette and see what happens, I was naïve at the time and embarrassed so kind of dismissed my symptoms and said everything was ok.

Swallowing
Dad was admitted for an
enema
11 days ago as there was no bowel movement for 13 days. He then took an infection which has now cleared but he is not drinking or eating so still in and losing weight. Therefore on and off the drip.

Is this the end of life?
The huge amount of various laxatives seem to have stopped working and he now has an
enema
once a day. He has puréed food because he is struggling to swallow. I guess what I’m asking is this the end now? Has anyone else watched a loved one go through this?

Colonoscopy and enema
Hi, I’ve just been told I have to have a colonoscopy and an
enema
and I’m really worried, especially about the
enema
. This is at York Hospital and I just wondered if people could share their experiences, good or bad. Thanks
