Colonoscopy and enema

Hi, I’ve just been told I have to have a colonoscopy and an enema and I’m really worried, especially about the enema. This is at York Hospital and I just wondered if people could share their experiences, good or bad. Thanks

I had an enema before my lap as my bowel prep. It's uncomfortable and a little embarrassing but it's not too bad. It just made me feel 'empty' afterwards. It's not painful though.

These days you can do it yourself, it comes with a pump
