Bad taste in mouth, Azathioprine??

Has anyone had a bad taste In mouth from taking Azathioprine? Been on for about 4 wks now. Not a metallic taste. Almost like there’s a strong cinnamon taste, nothing tastes good. Also using Prednisone enema. Not sure if either one is doing it. Thanks

Have taken both the meds (not at same time), did not have taste issue with either. At least cinnamon is nice!

The taste is unlikely to be caused by either drug, but the simple fact that you need to take the drugs indicates a stomach problem. Unfortunately, one of the symptoms of a dodgy stomach is, normally, a rotten taste or smell in your mouth, which nothing will shift. ( If it did we'd all be taking extra doses of nothing........ sorry, had pun...... nothing to do with IBS or IBS, just my dodgy brain).

Hi, yes I can confirm same for me, it’s more the pred than azathioprine.

Mouth feels slightly numb and a reducuction in taste, my consultant said this is normal
