Endoscopy

Hi all Been having alot of gastro issues..for a month plus..spoke with GP and have been referred for endoscopy..I go in today and am scared! Never had anything like his done before:(

I had the endoscopy & colonoscopy via my works insurance as my Dr wouldn't refer me. Apparently the specialist tested me for IF but I cant seem to get hold of a copy of the blood tests ( I have asked). Could I have both PA & UC?

However yesterday after years of reporting the issue I had a gastric endoscopy. It is a little uncomfortable going down the throat but they found an ulcer and ulcers which they confirmed I must have had for years along with other diagnosis for which they gave me inmediate treatment.

Good morning my son was diagnosed with Crohn disease 5 last January and now his level of fecal calprotectin is 1700. he need to have a colonoscopy and endoscopy, and for the preparation the doctor prescribed PICOPREP, but this power can't be used for crohn disease and stomach ulcers. somebody used PICOPREP

As promised here's the update on my endoscopy yesterday So they couldn't cannulate me after 4 attempts and eventually had to take the throat spray! That test is not nice..I was constantly gagging and my jaw was killing me..

The endoscopy was normal and so a diagnosis of irritable gastritis (I think, from memory) was made with no follow up.

negative,no improvement.No stomach cramps,no diarrhoea,occasional constipation & burning pain around belly button,with bloating,burping,wind.Have given up alcohol, all fizzy drinks,spicy food,tomatoes,milk,citrus,coffee,tea,fatty foods as they all bring on the above symptoms.The only thing left is Endoscopy

I have just had a CT scan that showed thickening of the oesophagus and they want me to have a endoscopy. Now terrified that this is OC. Can anyone advise?

Hi again I wrote recently about concerns re. going for endoscopy and received great reassurance thanks. Still awaiting that appointment and in meantime acid reflux getting worse and referred back pain. I've had my prescription for 20mg Omeprazole increased this time to Esomeprazole 80mg per day.

Dr. recommends to have a capsule endoscopy next to look in the small intestine to make sure she doesn’t miss anything. Glad Dr. making sure everything is well and not just brushing me off since colonoscopy looks normal.

Just wondering roughly the total time it will take.They say about 30 mins for procedure but last time I had an anaesthetic for a endoscopy it was around 2 hours b4 I could be collected by someone. Some sites say best part of a day yet others say if problems then a stay overnight.

The reason they gave for administering vitamin k was it was standard practice, they had no answer for giving tirlipressin three days after her endoscopy.

I have a complete blood work being done in 3 weeks along with my first endoscopy, which now I’m very concerned about. Any advice please? Thank you so much for taking the time to read my story. Dan

times to lately but they still won't let me have the endoscopy only urgent patients I don't mind waiting at all , but ever so worried it could be something else and could be urgent.

I’m going in next week for my third endoscopy in 3 months , 1st one they found a very large varice with red spot that they banded and the second time I had more varices but I wasn’t healed enough so I’m back in to get them banded next week .

The small 'fatty' mass (as a gp passed it off as) now has to be investigated and I have to undergo both an endoscopy and a biopsy. Should this prove to be cancerous, then it is small enough to be dealt with. Next week, I get the results from my CT scan on my lungs.

Had endoscopy, bowel scan and stomach scans. Some diverticulitis was diagnosed with bowel scan. Have tried Fodmap diet and discarded gluten, lactose, caffeine, red meat and spicy foods. Do have periods of normal bowel function - if only it was permanent.

Can you please let me know how long you have had to wait for a colonoscopy/endoscopy

Tomorrow my endoscopy shall be at 2.30. So today I’m going to do my painting by numbers. I’ve finished the yellow lab puppy. I’ve been self isolating since my hospital COVID test on Sunday. I have been missing my cycling as consultant advised me not to.

So over the last 2/3 years I’ve been going through a lot of stuff with my bowels more so the last year I’ve had 1 endoscopy 3 colonoscopy 1 sigmoidoscopy 1 pill camera and a CT scan I have a mri booked for Sunday this week which will be the 13th of June I’m hoping that we get to the bottom of it as
