Hi, looking for information sources if anyone knows of any
I’m also under surgeons because despite having my gall bladder removed, I’m still getting pancreatitis ( had an
endoscopy
last month, no physical cause found) I’ve also been getting random blips in my liver & kidney function tests that spontaneously resolve.

Endoscopy.. Varices or something else
Finally got my
endoscopy
appointment for May. I have cirrhosis and ascites, I understand that varices develop when blood flow through the liver is obstructed by scarring, increasing the pressure inside the portal vein, portal hypertension.

brief sharp pain in anus followed by tingling
Had a stroke couple of years ago. Due to excellent physio I am improving remarkably well. Surprisingly the most unpleasant part is I sleep well at about 6 am I am worked up with acute pain in my anus accompanied by this unpleasant tingling sensation around my bowels. It is often alleviated by a poop

Results & gut issues
I've had on and off gut issues for years now, bloating, tiredness being the main concerns and have been referred for a colonoscopy and and
endoscopy
- which I'm extremely nervous about. I've heard about the links between T3 on gut issues and got some blood test results.

is it common for coeliacs to have crohns or colitis as well?
Tests always came back negative but never had any stomach issues until I was food poisoned - my results were from
endoscopy
.

valtrex and Zanubrutinib
It is not caused by h pylori and I had
endoscopy
last fall which showed mild redness and hietal hernia. My stomach is very sensitive. I don’t drink alcohol and my coffee is acid reduced. The 500 mg valtrex has set my stomach on fire!

Spring and a new T-shirt or two?
Waiting for weight loss to stabilise (down some 4 stone so far) and
endoscopy
for varices investigation. Fingers crossed on that one.

Examining the Pathology of the Parietal cells
Just read from a post by Rexz , that in the U.S.A. a diagnosis of Pernicious Anaemia can be confirmed by examining the pathology of the parietal cells .( by endoscopic ultra-sound ) This seems an excellent method for confirming such a serious condition as P.A.Which can lead to serious health problems

Cirrhosis and Fibrosis
I promptly quit alcohol and have exercised for a minimum of 30mins daily since (and haven’t missed a day) I went to the GI doc and had colonoscopy, gastroscopy and capsule
endoscopy
. Found polyps and removed them but couldn’t find source of bleeding.

Cardiac symptoms with gastointestinal cause
Years ago a routine stomach
endoscopy
revealed that I have a hiatal hernia. I did some research and it seems a significant hiatal hernia can mimic cardiac symptoms - chest pain, breathing issues etc. So I have been wondering if my hernia is at least a contributory cause of my symptoms.

Levothyroxine Increase
I had lots of investigations ( Gastroscophy/
Endoscopy
which found some evidence of gastritis and an old healed ulcer. At no point did any doctor suggest looking further into my Thyroid.

pain under ribs
I have been now been told my discomfort is ibs constipation and not hiatus hernia or acid reflux. Symptoms started 8 years ago and steadily deteriorated so I’m now finding it difficult to eat/drink. Domperidone did help (half tab not every day) but GE said not to take it as advice re impact on heart

How long to get over PPI?
I stopped them for
endoscopy
in December and had rebound.
Endoscopy
was clear ( although left me in pain for days) so started the pills again in late December for 8 weeks. Started getting regurgitation and weaned myself off. Could I still be having problems with getting my stomach back to normal?
