12 weeks update after second catheter ablation
Well at last my very irritating cough is getting better. No AF, just some ectopic beats most evenings which are quite annoying but settle by themselves. I saw my EP a couple of weeks ago and he wants me to wean myself off the bisoprolol and come off the rivaroxiban which I am quite nervous about.

Catheter ablation Friday, extremely anxious
Hi everyone I am due to have an ablation this Friday, I’m 27 years old from York, North Yorkshire. I get heart palpitations when I play tennis or badminton When smashing the shuttle or bending down for one near the net. This happens ONLY when I play raquet sport. Things like going to the gym or running

Recovering from AV Node Ablation.
I had my AV Node Ablation on Thursday 1 Feb. It all went well and now I am back home. My CRT-D has been set to 80bpm and in 2 weeks time they will adjust it down to 60 bpm. I have been told to stop the Amiodarone and wean myself off the Bisoprolol and I imediatly decreased it from 7.5mg down to 5mg.

Pacemaker with AV node ablation
We all know there is no cure for AF. We also know that if left untreated AF can lead to stroke. My journey over the last 25 years has been a long one, culminating in three ablations which certainly gave me relief for a while, and medication which now gives me more problems than they are worth. In

Three months post final procedure in hybrid ablation
i had the mini-maze in April and completed with an RF catheter ablation in early October. I did not have an official review three months after the second procedure as the Cardiologist did not think it was necessary after my six week review; he was very happy with my progress. My next visit is in April

Advice on Amiodarone please
Hello, I'm new to this group and already finding it very helpful. I have had a successful catheter ablation which lasted from June last year until a few weeks ago when I went into atrial flutter. I have just been started on Amiodarone, this is the third day of taking 200mg 3 times a day but my heart

Pacemaker with AV node ablation
I have had 3 ablations, various meds used with no great success. This is as a result of a prosthetic mitral valve replacement some 20 years ago. The valve is still working well. It would appear that I am now looking at a pacemaker with av node ablation. I am hesitant, quite possibly because it is

I've only ever heard of

...can anyone who has received treatment for endo give me any more information on treatment options? I suffer quite badly with the pain and have been signed off work the last two weeks due to my symptoms.

CRT-D Benefits Realisation
As I approach my AV Node ablation I was wondering if those who have undergone the Pace and Ablate procedure can tell me how long it takes to feel any benefits. I know this is a very subjective thing, but I wondered if you felt it on day one or did it take a few months. My own suspicion is that most

Constant bleeding
In February I had a novasure
endometrial
ablation
. At the time my periods were heavy but regular and no spotting between periods. Since the op I have had spotting every few days and still regular heavy periods. The spotting has now got worse and is more like a continuous period.

Post Ablation
Hi is there anyone out there that has had a cardiac ablation for AF. If so can you tell me how you were after your procedure and how long it took for you to feel well again. Also if you were on a beta blocker. I really need to chat to someone who has experienced post AF

Who have good and or bad AV Node ablations results? Please share...
Hi, I am trying to find out more about successful AV Node ablation. Not the other type ablations. or did you decide on Ameodrone instead. Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Footballer has ablation
Manchester United captain Micheal Carrick 36 has had to undergo a cardiac ablation after tests had shown that he had abnormal heart rhythms. He is now recovered from the procedure and is looking to get fit and back in contention for the team. This is truly insperational to us all and we should take great

who has experience with cures for atrial fibrillation?
My name is Jeff. I am 71 years old and fit for my age. However, I have TTR Amyloidosis which is causing me to have repeated bouts of atrial fibrillation. My Cardiologists have been considering treatment options including catheter ablation, ICD implant and pacemaker implant. I would be interested in hearing
