Positive thoughts about having an AV node ablation.
At the beginning of January I had an AV node ablation. I did a lot of research before making the decision to have the procedure, during which I read some very negative thoughts as to why you shouldn't have it done. I just wanted to share with you my experience, with a very positive view. I've had AFib

After being diagnosed with AF I went for an catheter ablation which threw up a clot in my heart. This in 2016 after waiting to see if this would be reabsorbed after further TOE`s it was still there. Absolutely fed up.
So I had a second Catheter Ablation in January , with mapping. Everything seemed reasonable until Sat last, for no reason at all, I came all over breathless. Scary couldn’t catch my breath at all. Ambulance was called, arrived very quickly. I don’t remember the journey, but I was given a high does of

Low blood pressure
Good morning, I’m new on here. I take both Midodrine and Flecanide, long with a beta blocker. I have a pacemaker for a multitude of ablutions, had an AV node ablation but still have atrial flutter. Recently diagnosed and ? Heart failure but waiting on results. My blood pressure is always low, hence

I'm new - endometrial ablation seems to have failed
Hi all. I've been a member here for a while but not really posted. Feel like a newbie again. I'm 42. Had a novasure ablation last year in Jan. It the last three months I'm getting the worst pain ever which I suspect is when my period should have been. It's like being in labour. I can't walk. The whole

av node ablation
I had a Medtronic pacemaker put in three weeks ago and two days ago I had the av node ablated. It is early days, I feel tired and washed out, and a little overwhelmed by it all. I certainly do not feel like skipping about that is for sure, although I wish I did! So at the moment I don't really think

CRT-D Pacemaker Implantation Part 4
I’m writing this blog to help those who, like me, struggled with the whole concept of Pacemakers, CRT Pacemakers and ICD’s. My understanding of the role of the various pieces of kit are :- * A Pacemaker is used to help people with heart failure. It gives the heart a little help should it try to slope

PAT with an ICD and Sotolol
Hi, I had an ICD fitted 2 and a half weeks ago and was put on Sotolol (I’ve been on Bisoprolol and Flecainide for 5 years and they were no longer working). A week later I had a PAT episode that was manually terminated at the hospital using the ICD. At the same time my Sotolol dose was increased

Hello
Hi, I am new to this site and just wanted to introduce myself. I am 61 and was diagnosed with persistent AF 2 years ago. I had cardio version that lasted just short of a year. I am now waiting for a catheter ablation. I have found most of the posts here very useful and I was totally unaware that AF is

What to expect after SVT ablation
Good Morning! I am new here but I underwent a cardiac ablation for an SVT on this past Friday the 27th. To give you some background, I was born with Congenitally Corrected Transposition of the Great Arteries. In other words my lower heart chamber is completely reversed. I also have situs inversus, a

What is the realistic expectation for the young afibber?
EP and cardiologists, and basically everyone say that afib doesn't kill you. And if blood clot is prevented, it doesn't even shorten life. It's a bit of comforting. But what should I actually expect for the rest of my life provided I'm only 37 now. When afib becomes more frequent, ablation could be
