Hi is there anyone out there that has had a cardiac ablation for AF. If so can you tell me how you were after your procedure and how long it took for you to feel well again. Also if you were on a beta blocker.
I really need to chat to someone who has experienced post AF

Mr husband is 4 months post ablation and to last week things were going quite well. However he has had a couple of episodes of tachycardia which lasted about a hour or so. Is this normal post ablation. I appreciate your responses please
I’m sorry to hear that your husband is having runs of tachycardia post ablation.
I have now had 15 ablations and they said to me that the palpitations and irregular rhythms could return after a while. Unfortunately for me they have returned every time.
I would recommend that you call the consultant and just get things check out. Either that or call the team of Arrythmia nurses who I’m sure will be able to help.
I really hope your husband starts to feel better soon x
Hello Jo. Thanks for your reply. My husband had one in October last. It has seemed a very long 4 months. His consultant didn't really give us info but implied he would be ok
after a couple of weeks !!! I
don't think so. He started to get back to his old self a couple of weeks ago and had been symptoms free until he had two separate episodes of fast heart rate 115 for about an hour each time. Nothing like his AF episodes just wondering if others have had the same. Due to see consultant at Papworth next Wednesday so be interested to hear what he says. We have sent of ECG reading each time.
