Besremi was approved for me by the insurance provider
I am quite excited that CVS/Caremark had approved of Besremi prescription after the appeals process which the hematologist had submitted - as the original response was a denial where it was mentioned that Besremi was not included in the formulary. I am 64 and still working in the Illinois area, and my

Causes of Stroke and Heart Attack
I just had a severe Anxiety attack where I was triggered by some thing that severely scared me. It was like my heart jumping out of my chest. Now I am feeling sharp chest pains and a headache. I am now pretty scared for the worst. This is the worst Anxiety attack I ever had. I have been taking my meds

Start Besremi Tomorrow
Tomorrow is the day I start Besremi. I was dx with PV 4/15 (tax day in US) in 2016. Since then I've only had phlebotomies and taken aspirin. I've had no major issues or challenges other than low ferritin which I believe contributed to some fatigue. Immediately upon dx, I began educating myself on treatment

Mild/moderate leaking mitral valve
I’m waiting for an echo scan and 24hr monitor as I’ve been having bouts of light headedness and my GP heard a heart murmur. The last scan was 4 years ago. I also have mild FMD in both Carotid arteries for which I was advised to take 75mg of aspirin a day. I had bad GI side effects and haven’t been taking

General ET questions
Hi everyone. I have only recently joined this forum. I was diagnosed with ET in 2004 and have been on aspirin and HU since the beginning with varying doses of HU plus Peg for the last few years. Platelets are up and down and side effects not great when doses are changed. Suffering periods of mouth ulcers

Newly diagnosed - ET
Newly diagnosed with ET - CALR type 1 mutation. Found elevated platelets (~600) in routine blood work for an annual physical. No other symptoms presenting. Feel like a normal and healthy 38 year old guy, but anxious about life going forward. Had a bmb to confirm - no surprises there. Hem/onc seems

Holidays
I have an heart condition which is being treated with medication. I take Lansaprozole, Aspirin, Bisoprolol, Isosorbide Mononitrate, Losartin and Rovastatin. I did take Clodiprogrel until a month ago but it has been over 12 months since I had an angioplasty and two stents fitted one in each coronary artery
