Bump and swelling on template arteries in between

my wife get swelling in side of head and bump on and off even with treatment of prednisone and acterma , she take aspirin and pain killer to get relief . Is this common ?

If aspirin and ordinary painkillers help this it is fairly unlikely to be due to GCA.

Pred causes the body to lay down fat depositis in certain places - one is around the face, leading to the typical moonface appearance. Could it be that?

I have just seen PMRPro’s response to you. I can confirm that I have half an egg sized, completely painless bulge on each temple. I put this down to being either fat deposits or to do with the Cushing signs, the moon face. Aspirin is harsh on the stomach, as is Prednisalone. Another painkiller and your GP’s opinion would be a good idea.

Thanks 🙏 for response and advice .by our bad luck we are suffering from Gca , pmr , , where there no clear cut time when all will be at tolerable level months or years We have to keep faith on GOD and nature . And also on luck .

I am in the same position as are many people on this forum. What dose of Prednisalone is your wife on? It sounds like she is suffering too much. I am glad that you have your faith to support you it will be a great help. Prednisalone has eased most of my symptoms. I do discuss side effects and bad days on here. We all try to help each other.
