Worried about my kidneys.
I had two chest Ct with contrast while pregnant for suspected pulmonary
embolism
and am concerned that the contrast dye has somehow damaged my kidneys. I am seeing a nephrologist on Monday but I am beyond freaked out. I feel so sick and have the symptoms of kidney failure.

Is it normal for Doctors to tell you not to worry if you tell them you think you have an additional clot in a superficial vein?
While in the hospital last month with a DVT in arm, my leg started feeling like it was getting a clot. ( superficial vein.) The doctor said we are giving you Lovenox sub cutaneous injections. It's all we can do anyway, so it doesn't matter. Once released- about two days later- this bruise happened exactly

OCD sufferer for many years
Seems like they had given him the wrong dose of his meds -too much - and it had cause a pulmonary
embolism
(blood clots on the lungs to us non medical people). He was rushed into hospital because if it moved to his heart he'd die. They wouldn't even let him walk - it was that serious.

Fibro and Lupus?
Three years ago my sister had blood clots and experienced a Pulmonary
embolism
. It went to her heart and she had to be shocked twice to get her back (we were working at the hospital, she would have died if I hadn't been there to get help. We were the only 2 nurses on our floor.)

Stroke and APS
I've been diagnosed with APS in 1997, only after I had a DVT in my calf which then caused a pulmonary
embolism
. The specialists suggested I increase my INRs to >3.0. Recently (2012) I had some dental surgery and the surgeon wanted me off coumadin.

Stopping Rivaroxaban before surgery
I am on a joint Eye-ENT waiting list for a tear duct operation, which the surgeon told me is likely to be "very bloody". We discussed my anticoagulation at the clinic and she wrote to my GP afterwards, requesting that she advise me about stopping Rivaroxaban before surgery. Quite out of the blue, I

Xarelto
I was diagnosed 5 weeks ago with several blood clots in each lung that had travelled up from my left leg ( calf muscle area ) I believe they call it P E pulmonary
embolism
. I was put onto Xarelto 15 mg twice daily for three weeks then onto 20mg once daily.

Pleural effusion
Hi all, Just wondering if anyone has had pleural effusion, it has taken me 3 months of constantly complaining to my doctor and rheumatologist of the pain I have in my right rib area when I take a deep breath sneeze or yawn. I am now being sent for a CT scan as the chest xray shows pleural effusion,

PE and warfarin. Scared to take it. Scared to stop taking it.
I had a simple outpatient procedure due to a miscarriage and developed a small pulmonary
embolism
in my right lung. I now wonder if I had already had it due to the high amounts of birth control used for long periods of time before the pregnancy. I was diagnosed with the PE one month ago.
