Hello all

I am suffering from DVT'S for both the legs of around 50 cm long clots now on warfarin.

My doubt is that weather excess amount of intake in salt (sodium) causes DVT'S in legs??

What all exercises can I do with my legs??.

Please help (my blood clots start from my starting of thie to extreme down of leg)

Normal exercising is not known as a causation of a DVT. Are you in a hospital under medical care which would be normal for a DVT? A DVT is a serious condition that can lead to bits of a clot breaking off and moving to your lungs, heart, or brain with loss of life the result. How do you know you have 50 cm long clots in BOTH legs? Have you been tested for hereditary clotting factors, Leiden Factor 5? 10 years after my DVT, for which I was hospitalized, not allowed out of bed, and put on heparin for immediate care, I had another clot but it was a surface clot which is NOT a DVT and NOT subject to moving to other areas. Please provide more information.

LOkeshwar: I too had clots in both legs. Right leg cleared, left has stable clots, cycling through more. Swimming I found helpful and soft fabric compression, I also use Kensio tape that helps me with pain cand swelling. Good luck to you. Do you have acess to a pool?
