More on statins
I've actually been tolerating ADT quite well over the past year but beginning in January I started feeling tightness in chest, low endurance, out of breath, heavy fatigue, attributing all to Xtandi...Then in May I fainted after getting up from the couch so the old lady took me to the ER...I had an emergency

back again - people saying I have thyroid issues - I don’t know what to do?
people keep saying my mood etc could be thyroid related and weight gain. here are my trackers of thyroid… I’ll post the rest below this. I don’t know what to do as I think my HRT is doing this. GPs won’t listen. I have no relationship with them at all. What are your thoughts?

Red light therapy
Hi , I’ve read up a lot about red light therapy & have held back but now considering buying one. Just interested to know if any of you have bought one, how you have got on with it, re results, plus if so any recommendations. I know I have seen posts in the past where people have mentioned they use one

Future after Erleada/Lupron
I met with a new MO today for a second opinion. I've been taking Erleada/Lupron for almost four years with few side effects (for which I'm grateful). I'm aware that my results have been very good and I wasn't looking for advice regarding a change in my care....I just wanted to have a second doctor

Endo back after surgical menopause - anyone else?
It's a long story so I shall keep it short - I had TLH/BSO with excision at a BSGE centre in 2017, putting me in surgical meno. Things were generally OK for a while but about 18 months ago I started to get symptoms again (pain, cystitis, then the unpredictable guts started). Gave up on the wait for an

ED no more
My case is unusual in as much as I was diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer four years ago. A bone scan identified many areas where I had bone mets, even one between my shoulder blades on my spine that looked like structural surgery was inevitable. My PSA topped 1000 and I had zero treatments of any

Low-dose Aspirin.
I imagine that the new aspirin study [JAMA (1)] will get a lot of media play, but I will post anyway. A previous study concluded that the only people who benefit from low-dose aspirin are those who have already experienced a cardiovascular event. For everyone else, the risks obliterate any benefit

Constipation caused by pelvic floor dysfunction
I have been diagnosed with obstructive defecation syndrome (pelvic floor dysfunction) from a proctogram - I’ve been given physiotherapy and it hasn’t worked. I’ve asked to be referred for biofeedback and my doctor says they won’t do anything else. Does anyone have any advice? It’s severely impacting

I went to the neph doctor for the 1st time...ugh...a couple of questions
She said I have stage 3a chronic kidney disease...The only thing she based it off of was egfr...I am not sure if other things need to be considered? She is sending me for a ultrasound and said to come back in 6 months and didnt seem very informative or concerned...Is this normal? How often would

1st post-IMRT PSA = 2.1
I completed IMRT on 5/22/23. My last recorded PSA from 1/23 was 4.31. My 1st PSA draw on 8/22/23 came back 2.12. I've read and have been told that PSA doesn't go down immediately with radiation, unlike surgery, and can take up to 2 years to hit its nadir. The RO NP was happy and pretty much said that

Am I going mad?
Hi! I've had so much helpful information from this forum and made copious notes over the last few weeks, I was determined I could get by without asking for help, but no. I'm so upset, after what I've decided is my last visit to the GP as I'm fed up of being fobbed off and coming out like a gibbering

Anyone with PSP-PAGF
I am from India and new to this association. My husband age 69 was diagnosed (mis?) as Parkinson's patient in 2019. He was having speech issues and slow movements Last month, he started freezing and can only walk with baby steps. Consulted a movement disorder specialist who diagnosed it as PSP-PAGF.
