Wanting to know if anyone has both real seizures and "functional" or non epileptic seizures? I have a video EEG in December. I haven't had a seizure during a day test but as I seem to have it happen during my sleep a lot and not in public, my neurologist asked if I'd be willing to have a few day test

Lots of myoclonic jerks
After some snacks (cheese related) I got a lot of muscle jerks when getting ready for bed. It hadn't happened as much but seems around menstruation and with what I eat or when relaxing it happens. I am not currently diagnosed with epilepsy but thought this was most relatable group to join currently as

Strange mental event prior to ocular migraine?
For many years I had migraines once or twice a month, lasting 3 or 4 days each. No auras. Then about 20 years ago the headaches stopped and I had no headaches of any kind after that, but a very occasional ocular event came along. Then a year ago, after being put on three heart meds (afib-related

Living with epilepsy
I have epilepsy and live in AL, laws here state 6 months waiting period instead of a year, it varies from state to state. EEG "generalised cerebral dysfunction"
I'm embarrased posting here as I know my concern over this is tiny compared to the experiences so many of you have living with epilepsy. But I thought many of you will have had EEG's and perhaps had come across this ? The EEG was to investigate the possibility of epilepsy .The result was negative on

EEG examination with difuse findings
I had a checkup at the hospital a while back where I was informed they had found difuse findings in my eeg examination a while back witch needed further examination. I've bin refferd to an MRI scan to see if they can find anything there. I'm usually not worried about my appointments but this time I'm

TLE Symptoms
Hi, diagnosed with TLE about 8 to 10 years ago (abnormal EEG reading). Did not believe the diagnosis and after a 2nd opinion went off my medication. Long story short, a 3rd opinion and now I'm back on medication with a diagnosis of TLE. This is all a little too easy for me to accept as my symptoms

Tired most of the time!
I went to sleep last night. Woke up for a little while a few times but slept most of the day today and I still feel so drowsy. I didn't eat much then. Ate a banana and hash browns pretty much. So tired to focus to do stuff though. Saw an epilepsy specialist/neurologist on Monday because I have movements

Undiagnosed and struggling
Hi, I'm new to this group. Just saw a neurologist/epilepsy specialist as my neurologist wasn't sure if I was having seizures but they weren't caught during the sleep deprived EEG (during the day). She thought I should have a video EEG (few day stay at hospital). The epilepsy specialist was good. Patient

Undiagnosed, specialist appointment
I went to see a specialist (neurologist/epilepsy) because of involuntary movements. Like muscle jerks. I'll be having a video EEG done, probably in a few months. I'm exhausted and think I've slept more than enough already. I've had narcolepsy looked into cause I have symptoms of it but during the night

First Epilepsy specialist appointment Soon
Hi, I joined here recently. I have not been diagnosed with Epilepsy but I've been referred by my neurologist because of myoclonic jerks, etc that she thought could be seizures but there wasn't activity caught during the day. I usually have it happen around sleep so it's recommended I have a video EEG

Almost Forgot to Introduce Myself
Oops. I don't think I introduced myself before last post. :-) My name is Terri. I'm a 53-year-old female and was diagnosed with RRMS end of March, this year. I've had symptoms for many, many years but when I saw doctors (when I was younger) they all basically said it was all in my head. My PCP has been
