I have epilepsy and live in AL, laws here state 6 months waiting period instead of a year, it varies from state to state. Doctors here don't have to report the seizure to DMV, they use to but no longer? It's been 4 months since mine which I think was brought on by a severe sinus/ear infection that was treated with antibiotics and steroids then I went out of the country, get back and bam seizure while shopping in the mall! Had been seizure free for years! Could not even remember my last one. Went to neurologist had EEG done go for follow up tomorrow. Yes it's the pits not to b able to drive my husband and I are both retired so he's just driving Miss Daisy until I can drive again.
