Beginning The journey, not quite sure why
Ok, we’ve all seen the adverts on Facebook asking for volunteers for people to join health tests/screenings etc. So I did one about two years ago on liver and found I had a fatty liver, which was moderate. Went back the next year and had got it down to mild. This year I saw one on lung cancer, they are

I’ve recently found my cat run over and was so upset I developed high blood pressure 180/96. I have been out on medication and have had ecg znd echo cardio gram. I have slight chest pain though and am worried it is something more serious. Anyone else experiencing this. I also suffer with anxiety.

Hi everyone, I have received the following from my consultant and been discharged but tbh, I concerned by what I am reading after passing out last year. The letter says "His ECG in clinic today showed normal QRS axis with normal R wave progression, [u]deep S waves in lead 2 but not meeting

Feeling overwhelmed
After a routine lung screening CT scan I was diagnosed with mild emphysema and some calcification of my heart arteries. I was also referred for a further high definition CT Scan to confirm bronchiectasis. My GP prescribed Salamol which did nothing to help the breathlessness and chest tightness I'd been

Hi to all I had my eight week appointment yesterday since having OHS. ECG normal for me, feel a lot better than before the surgery and back to daily routine, hopefully back to work next month. My echo wasn’t as positive, it shows the new valve is leaking and narrowing ( mild at present) my chest is

Cryo ablation 6 days ago..am I back in AF?
I've been for an ECG this afternoon the results of which are being passed to the arrhythmia nurse team at the JR in Oxford, where I had a cryo ablation last Friday. AF symptoms of breathlessness and feeling faint and then some for a couple of days and now a bit more settled but irregular and fast pulse

AF on holiday
I am a long-time AF sufferer (in the genes - thanks Dad!). I've had 4 ablations and 7 cardio versions. When I moved from London, I was referred to Papworth and, after tests, they were ready to try another CV. But, amazingly, on the day, my heart was back in sinus rhythm and there it has stayed for

I had an AFIB incident picked up on an Apple Watch. At an appointment I was given an instant ECG showing no afib and then a 24 hour halter also showing no afib. I bought a wearable ECG device and I wore it for pretty much a year and I’ve had no incident of afib, but plenty of pacs and PVCs. An EKG showed

5 Days Post Ablation and getting an ECG
After three days of being extremely breathless and light headed following a cryo ablation at the JR last Friday I'm now feeling more settled, my pulse still fast and irregular but not as extreme. I had a call from an arrhythmia nurse (at last) at the JR who was very helpful. The next step is an ECG

I am still not decided on the watch yet. I havnt been diag with AF yet as some may remember , Ectopics yes , and they are

High Pulse Rate and Irregular Rhythm 3 days after Ablation
I had a cryo ablation at the JR on Friday. I was expecting to be feeling better today but my pulse is all over the place, anywhere between 80 and 140, and irregular. I feel like I'm back in full-on AF.. breathless, tired and light headed. I left a message describing my symptoms with the arrhythmia nurses

My Angina Story - 2024
Hi - telling my story since I'm feeling a little confused and down, and wanted to share. Last year in 2023 I was diagnosed with high blood pressure (it's been a little high for past 20 years) but GP wanted to bring it down consistently so put onto Ramipril that did the job nicely. It was early Jan

LBBB or anxiety?
Hi all, I am looking for a bit of advice/reassurance. I am 36 year old, healthy/fit mum. I was suffering from tiredness and occasional heart palpitations for a couple of months - I am incredibly anxious when it comes to my health and have had a really stressful year so I initially put my symptoms down

Just wanted to share my experience of this procedure in case anyone out there is as nervous about it as I was. I had been in Fast AF for almost a year and although medication was helping my symptoms it wasn't knocking me back into sinus rhymn and so cardioversion was recommended. I had to report to
