Called by GP to go to Surgery to have ECG and another blood test.
Seen by assistant who takes blood. She did the ECG and took blood. Told to wait while she went to see Dr with results of ECG. I asked if I should call about blood results and was told no. Doctor would ring me.
To date nothing..... And by the way the doctor never should his face the whole time.
I have looked on line to see if anything happening and I can see another doctor has made 3 references, about what I do not know.
Are patients so terrifying to them that they do everything in secret.

Frustrating, should be sorted on the phone, ask for the results, there must be a query if it’s a repeat test. Ask for a phone call, or a f to f appt. with doc. The practice manager might help, if you mention complaint!
Frustrating regarding the results, no excuse for that, however, like Piglette I never see/talk to a doctor if it is blood tests etc, always done by one of the advanced nurses.
My last ftf with Dr this week she turned her screen towards me and took me through all the results . The first prerequisite is that your Dr. should listen to YOU. Be clear, concise and concerned. Build that relationship and they will share knowledge and admit lack of it. If they use technical jargon ask them to speak in plain English. Sometimes only word to use is a medical term but they should explain the function. If they can't they don't know themselves and are hiding behind a mask of jargon. If they won't listen or respond reasonably either change Dr. or complain to head of practice.
sounds like your practice needs a sharp reminder that they are there ONLY because people like you need help to get well. That is their function. They chose the medical route in order to do that. If they didn't then they are just in it for the career path and money. Some are now and should be bought back down to earth. It is a vocation that happens to reward them quite well for their dedication to making us well.
