Clear angiogram

After a clear angiogram and being told I should not have issues with my arteries for 8-10 years at least. I have been taken off monomil and nicorandil. I am on 10mg x2 a day of Coracten. Angiogram cardiologist suggested this might be an option and my gp mad3 the change. After a echocardiogram and a 24 hour ecg monitor. I have another echocardiogram test on the 28th. Been off the other meds for a second day so far and feeling better a bit. Not as bad symptoms, but time will tell in my rollercoaster.

But Bp still dips tho. I am pushing myself to do more instead of doing very little. Mind over matter. They are still trying to figure what’s wrong.

I believe they are trying the new med for Coracten about possible spasms in my heart. They mentioned that is something they are considering. Hope to talk to cardiologist sooner than later after another echocardiogram on the 28th.

Hello,

Did they test for coronary vasospasms during your angiogram?

There is some information on the BHF website about vasospastic and microvascular angina.

bhf.org.uk/informationsuppo...

These are both types of non obstructive coronary artery disease NOCAD also known as Ischaemia non obstructive coronary arteries INOCA.

This type of angina is often overlooked and recognised.

There is growing understanding and awareness of these types of angina.

It can take trial and error to find the best combination of medication that will help you best.

They did not that I am aware of. I do plan on mentioning these types thanks to you bring it to my attention. Just not sure when that will be.

It is important to get an accurate diagnosis.

Microvascular angina and vasospastic angina have different causes and therefore different medications are needed.

I suggest you keep a log of your symptoms and how you respond to your medication.

You might be Interested in this website which has lots of up to date research about NOCAD.

Thx, I have for a while recording my Bp and when I feel bad. It is normally not severe and happens at various times at rest and exertion.
