Flu Jab
Hi all, I am on 100 mcg Levothyroxine. I have never a flu jab before but does anyone know if there is any reason why I should not one? Many thanks.

Asthma or bronchiectasis???
Hello all, I've had mild asthma all my life but the last few years it has become difficult to control with the regular inhalers. Bronchitis- prednison events 3 times a year. Last winter I was put on nebuliser (corticosteroids plus extra saline) treatment, and that really helps. After much delay earlier

Help and advice needed for son
My son is nearly 11 and I’m writing to see if anyone might have had similar issues to him and for advice. Both my husband and I are really concerned about him. My son was hospitalised twice aged 5 with classic asthma symptoms (wheezing, unable to breathe) and has taken a preventer inhaler since. Now,

Why do I lack energy in my legs?
Hi everyone. First time I've posted a message but would welcome some feedback. As a 71 year old male I've been treated for bronchiestasis for over 25 years but have kept very active including 10 mile walks in the Cheviot Hills every week. Last summer I contracted pneumonia. I finished my last 2 doses

Cough
Anyone have a changing cough with their asthma? At times It’s literally like someone has a feather duster and is tickling my throat and chest. And it feels very dry. Then at other moments I’m coughing up mucus and sometimes mucus plug (gross) Sometimes I don’t know which I object to more, the breathlessness

Scientists shed new light on how lung bacteria defend against pneumonia.
New insight on how bacteria in the lungs protect against invading pathogens has been published today in the open-access eLife journal. The study in mice shows that a strain of lung bacteria called Lactobacillus provides a barrier against Streptococcus pneumoniae (S. pneumoniae) colonisation in animals

Green Tea Extract and Curcumin
Hi All - I’ve been taking green tea extract and curcumin capsules daily since I was diagnosed 18 months ago. I have no symptoms and my blood levels have been very stable. Has anyone had experience with those two supplements?

Chest infection/cough and antibiotics.
Had antibios 3 weeks ago for a possible chest infection with cough. 2 weeks since I finished them and my cough is just getting worse. Are you normally supposed to go back to GP in this timeframe, or do the antibiotics take a long time to stop the cough/chills/feeling crummy?

Blocked sinuses?
Is anyone else really suffering with blocked sinuses? It’s now developing into a full blown cold which I have no idea how I got it as have been isolating for weeks! I’m 9 weeks and just feel so run down and exhausted and my blocked nose isn’t helping me to sleep. Any tips or tricks as I can’t take any

Swelling in legs and inflamed veins
Hi all, Well I’m now through augmentation and completely off pramepexole and it’s been quite a journey. I’m seeing if anyone out there has suffered with swollen lower legs and feet after coming off pramepexole. I’ve also got phlebitis and my legs look horrible with purple/blue veins popping up. I’d

BAT, dutasteride, and my search for truth, Part 1 of 2
I have received many helpful comments on my queries about BAT and dutasteride. Overall, the evidence favors continuing dutasteride during BAT (Nalakrats opined “I would use to defend against DHT, which would be increased. And I would watch E2, and not let it get out of the 20's.”) But I have trouble

CR 5
This was a great run. I did 9.45 km in under 10 minutes which is a record for me. It was cold but not too cold. I have a nice route and now the run isn’t about each step but each segment of the route. The music was good but I’ve had enough of the Aladdin soundtrack, especially because it’s the “new”

Bleeding almost constantly for 3 months
I started taking desogestrel contraceptive pill three months ago and have more a less bled continuously. I appreciate my body will take a few months to adjust, but this is inconvenient and getting me down. Should I persist?
