Almost ready for phase 1: JHU083 (or JHU-083) a selective glutamine metabolism blocker
"The drug, JHU083, is a type of molecule called a prodrug that cells inside the body convert into an active drug. Specifically, JHU083 can only be turned into its active, glutamine-blocking form inside the tumor, preventing it from causing harmful side effects elsewhere in the body. " We all know that

unfortunately the liver mets have returned to Martins liver. It is 6 months since chemo finished. There are multiple small mets. Martin is still feeling well. No fatigue, loss of appetite or pain. His MO said that this is very bad and gave a prognosis of 12 months. He is starting Martin on carboplatin

Now been advised cancer has spread to both lungs š
Spoke to my consultant yesterday, it seems my nurse specialist had not given me the correct information. Cancer signs are now on both lungs, in my peritoneal area, and under my spleen (not the spleen itself). I am getting some pain in my lung area and it's really worrying me š Surgery is still

Confused about potential ibs c with overflow diagnosis
So after having a constant list of other symptoms unrelated to bowels i have finally spoke to a gastro who is assuming i have ibs c with overflow. I am on the waiting list for a colonoscopy so this potential diagnosis has been made on a 5 min phone call not an in person appointment. My confusion comes

Zometa
Insurance denied my Xgeva shot . Was told I had to do Zometa. Looking at the potential side effects ( stomach) Im not inclined. Been dealing with ibs and gerd for years and not really wanting to go with anything that will increase that situation. I've read that Zometa does nothing to prevent SRE events

bowel blockage
Had bowel resection 6 years ago . Iliostomy bag and then successful reversal . Had an appendectomy about a year later, because my appendix were stuck to my ileostomy scar internally. I had pain and went to the hospital, but my surgery wasnāt emergency. I was scheduled about two weeks later for the appendectomy
