EP study scared...
Fast forward a few more attacks of tachycardia and a stress echo,
echocardiogram
and several consults with a cardiologist the conclusion is that I must have some kind of SVT. Here is my problem though if I had a heart rhythm problem why haven't they caught it??

Problems after ablation for SVT, response to Becky2830
I think you should get your family doctor to arrange an urgent visit to the hospital to have an
echocardiogram
and a 24 hour heart recording and review by your cardiologist.

My doctor dismissed Hughes Syndrome!
I wanted an
echocardiogram
and a lung function test, but he says my lungs and heart sound fine. I asked him if thick blood could be causing shortness of breath and other issues and he said only if I am having an acute clotting event.

Diagnosed December 2015, possible ablation April 2016
Within two weeks I had an
echocardiogram
, and the week after that had an hour-long consultation in the arrhythmia clinic with the specialist nurse. My results showed my heart was normal with only very minor changes.

Wendy - 5th day after ablation + TOE = bad indigestion problems!?
I had a Transoesophageal
echocardiogram
(TOE) under general anaesethic. Was sore for first day and could feel swallowing but got better each day. On 2nd day started to have indigestion but Rennies helped. Then since 3rd day has got worse each day.

NHS shutting me out?
In early November, I called 999 and was sent to hospital after a severe bout of palpitations (which I'd had sporadically for around three years prior to this event). Once there, a cardiac nurse told me she thought I had AFib or Atrial Flutter after looking at ECG's; a huge shock to me as I'd put it down

Unable to take anticoagulants, update
Saw my cardiologist yesterday at the hospital. He explained to me why he decided not to put me on anticoagulants. He stated that anticoagulants do not have anti platelet properties and because stroke blood clots mainly occur in a clot that is released from the upper right chamber (in some sort of reservoir

Endoscopy and Angiogram
But am now being sent for an
echocardiogram
to ensure I don't have Scleroderma induced Pulmonary Hypertension. Had a Gastro endoscopy yesterday which says I have reflux Oesophagitis grade A . What does that mean?

Pulmonary Hypertension
I am currently under the care of the Cardiology team at my local Hospital and have had one
echocardiogram
to rule out Pulmonary Hypertension. The latest diagnosis is costochondritis.

Recently diagnosed
Dear all - I have been recently diagnosed with atrial fibrillation, after I went into the GP with a fast heart rate (I hadn't noticed the irregularity) following anxiety after 2 eye operations for pressure, with several pressure spikes due to reaction to the steroid drops. I'd never heard of atrial

Worried about my heart
I feel like if I had this
echocardiogram
then maybe I'd be more secure in the thought that my heart is ok but my doctors are not putting me forward.

Ectopics or A-Flutter/A-Fibs
I am 24 years old 183pounds 6ft1 I have had a
echocardiogram
and was told my heart is strucally normal. And okay I don't experience any of symptoms other then when I get these extra beats but they completely put me off doing cardio until something is done or at least I am told they are harmless.

~Follow up on visit to Cardiologist
Cardiologist visit as per last post was to sort out my breathlessness -
echocardiogram
revealed the following: 1. Mild regurgitation in both mitral and tricuspid valves. 2. L atrium mildly dilated at 4.2cm. All other areas fine in accordance with his letter, heart presently stable in his opinion.

Help
Mri scan of heart,
echocardiogram
, chest X-Rays but all came back negative. Got a holter monitor for 24hrs. Slight palpitations but apparently nothing of major concern. But, why do I keep feeling that there is something wrong with me? Is it in my head?
