Prednisolone without food
Have always taken my Prednisolone at breakfast with porridge or Greek yoghurt . Refuse to take a PPI. Am due for surgery in a few weeks time and not to eat after midnight. Am only on 4.5 mg Pred at present. Will it hurt this once to take it with no food? I cant see a way around it.

Removal of contralateral testicle
To further reduce risk of recurrence of NHL DLBCL the contralateral testicle was removed as well. Surgery was successful. Now waiting two months and then check PSA and Testosterone. Still hormone sensitive, but no further Lupron required. Looking forward.

Carboplatin alternatives
I was diagnosed with Primary Peritoneal high grade serous cancer stage 3C in early 2021. I had 6 cycles of Carboplatin and Paclitaxel, radical surgery, two more chemo cycles then Niraparib for just over a year until it stopped working and my CA125 began to rise rapidly. Surgery was considered and

Ceasing Apixaban
I am due for knee joint replacement surgery. Can anyone relate their experience with stopping and starting Apixaban before and after the operation. I also take Ramipril, will I need to stop this for a while?. Thanks

EOD on the NHS?
I went for my first 4 weekly B12 injection at my GP surgery today. I was expecting some push back from the nurse but she gave the jab willingly. I asked if many people are getting 4 weekly or more frequent injections. Just 1. Me! Iām a bit of a novelty as everyone else is on 8 or 12 weeks. This

Advice/Help
Hi all, I'm just looking for some advice please? I'm due to go in for a Laparoscopy next week, I've had heart surgery in the past but, I'm really nervous about this surgery due to complications in the previous surgeries. So I'm just trying to calm my nerves by being as prepared as much as possible.

my husband had surgery 6 July, we arrived back home Saturday. Any advice for recovering at home , he doing remarkably well, walking , stairs. Resting, but ! Hiding the laptop is difficult, mentally his mind is strong, but his chest wall is not, surely typing in a keyboard is not good ? Natalie

Open heart surgery for ASD CLOSE
To everyone who has given me advice, I wanted to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude for all the guidance and support youāve offered since my open-heart surgery in April 2014 for ASD closure. Your insights and encouragement mean a lot to me, especially as I navigate the challenges I've faced

no cure
Iām pleased to see the post telling everyone about āhow their endometriosis was curedā has been taken down. There is NO CURE! Even if you have all diseased tissue removed you still have the disease. Some are lucky and donāt get a reoccurrence of the diseased tissue but for most the disease comes back

ICU Stay Neuro Challenges
Seeing if anyone has any insight. On May 16th my mom (62 years old) went to her cardiologist with chest pain. She did have afib for the last three year but she had that under control. When she went to her cardiologist on the 16th he sent her to the ER just because he was concerned with chest pains
