Hi, Can anyone help please. I am under Haemotology at the hospital for active monitoring as a bone marrow biopsy showed I have Weinstrom M( a type of Lymphoma) I have a three monthly B12 inj and am on 75 mcg of Levothyroxine for my thyroid. My bloods last week at the Haemotology dept showed all my bloodwork was normal. The doctor wasn’t able to print out my blood results but I think they will come through with my summary letter after my local surgery receive my review letter from the hospital. I did ask the hospital doctor if she could tell me the ferritin blood result as I was feeling a liffle tired and my get up and go wasn’t as good . She said it appeared normal at 31?. Sorry I only have that figure so was hoping one of your informed administration may comment if this figure is low…… I understand if you have thyroid problems your ferritin ( vitamin levels need to be high) . I am lucky at the moment to being on active monitoring for this condition. I am 70 years old and still active.
Hoping someone can reach out to me..thanks in anticipation

Normal NHS range is 10-300 so you are in need of a little uplift there, personally I like the heme iron as it doesn't interfere with anything else and is very effective, do you know your serum iron levels?
Hi TiggerMe… Thankyou so much for your reply. Not as yet iron serum results still pending . I’m perhaps jumping the gun.a little as I only thought to ask the Haemotology doctor the ferritin result. Will it be ok to post again when I get hold of the full bloods report.
When you consider that ferritin could be raised due to inflammation. Can you imagine someone with a ferritin of 11 (one higher than the 10 of the range you quoted), and it is only that high due to inflammation? The "real" ferritin level being even lower.
