Brown discharge after lap/excision and Mirena coil
hi all, pleased to say I had a very successful laparoscopy experience two weeks ago now - just sharing some positivity for anyone anxious ahead of theirs as I was terrified and freaking out. My scars are healing really well and I’ve been keeping pretty positive. During surgery I had a lot of endometriosis

advice on results please!!
Hi, I recently had my bloods done with monitor my health on 10/01/24 and the results indicated low folate and thyroid levels not optimal. I then spoke to my GP but they dismissed the private tests and asked for me to have my bloods done again which I had done on 25/01/24 only because I got the appointment

Had surgery
I have finally been listened to by surgeon and had a decompression procedure. It has eased the tugging pulling electric zapping sensations in my leg off quite a bit...( the mri showed L5 S1 compressing the nerve. It is still there but I can live with it at the moment. He said if it doesn't resolve totally

Barium Swallow and hernia diagnosis.
Having been referred for a Barium swallow, I decided to go for private appointment. which I had today. The radiologist said that I have a hernia, (small) he described it but is more than likely to be the cause of the throat clearing issues, i suspect from acid reflux. So, now next to find out what

CHEST Pain
For those who have replied and given me advice about 111 and hospital treatment, to my recent post about chest pain thank you, here is the next chapter. Because of the advice and my needing to know what the pain was, I contacted our GP surgery. Around 3,45 pm a doctor rang to ask what the problem was

Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN)
Hi, this is my first starter post although I have replied to a few questions from others. After being run over by a car 40 years ago and suffering multiple skeletal fractures I have undergone 14 operations so far. Around 2019 I was further diagnosed with Fybromyagia. Multiple medicines later and serious

Elon Musk says Neuralink installs brain implant in first patient

general anaesthetic with CHD
hello, I wondered if anyone has any information around the risks of a general anaesthetic when you have CHD? I have a mild atheroma in my LAD. I need to have surgery for breast cancer and I’m worried about whether a GA carries more risks for me. I don’t think I’ll see the anaesthetist until shortly before

Hello everyone. I’m 49 years old. I was diagnosed with PCa in 2018. It was determined Gleason 3+3 after biopsy, so we decided on Active Surveillance. I checked PSA religiously every 6 months and it hovered around 5 the whole time since the diagnosis. Last year during summer I believe I started experiencing

Few hours to my OHS
Dear all, In about ten hours, I should be on my way to theatre to have my ASD closed via open heart surgery! Strange enough, I feel relatively calm and no tense as all my friends, family and some of my nurses are. 😅 What most used to worry me was the possibility of complications or unexpected

Menieres disease making me ill or suppresses tsh
Re my last post, all indications are that I have menieres disease; dizzy, tinnitus, nausea, vomiting etc, but my gp can't understand why I'm so exhausted too and has suggested it's because of my suppressed tsh. I have had a blood test and will attach them (can't upload more than one so will put the rest
