Best Painkillers?
Hi All I hope your all ok - at least it’s Friday! I am struggling with pain at the moment having been put on Leflunomide to try with my Abatercept and after 2 months taken off the Lef due to horrendous side effects I am having a huge flare up! So I take as much codeine as I can every day at the moment

Muscle pain vs lung pain?
How can I tell the difference between if it’s my back muscles hurting or it’s the back of my lungs hurting. I taken some oramorph but it hasn’t helped this time. But it’s extremely painful. Any help please, I am desperate.

USE OF NSAID MEDS IN PKD
HI there. I’m now 23 and have been diagnosed with PKD since being 14 years old. Currently at eGGR 23 and as a result at stage 4 renal failure. I take Oramorph and Longtec (oxycodone prolongoned release) tablets for recurring pain due to cyst ruptures. Ever since I was diagnosed I was told to stay away

Oramorph and bad spots??
Hi everyone Just a quick question, everyone who is on oramorph more or less everyday do you get really bad and slightly strange spots? Since I’ve been taking it again I’ve got bad spots on my face back legs bum and tops of arms and nothing else has changed except that so I was wondering if it happens

HI Guys I have been taking 5ml of oramorph twice a day for breathlessness as prescribed. I'm now suffering with severe constipation which is something I've never had to think about as have always been very much the other way. Have tried eating only fruits and vegetables including salad haven't helped

Needing advice!
Hey ladies. Following on a few months from my previous posts and I was admitted to hospital last weekend as I collapsed in pain and couldn’t feel my legs. Was given oramorph and my lord it was good to be able to feel ‘normal’ again. My GP however, will not prescribe me anything stronger than codeine

I am now on two crutches, and feel like singing 'no wheels on my wagon'
So, to continue my sorry tale... The Avascular Necrosis has 'destroyed' my left hip... yes! that was the terminology used by the Muscular Skeletal specialist, who was looking at my MRI results, which they had, kindly, pushed through for me as urgent, on the NHS.. He was comparing it to an MRI which

Been a member for a while but only just found this forum.
Hi all, My name is Julie (Jules), I'm now 50 yrs old. Wayyyy back in the days (those in care roles/nursing will know what I mean) there weren't many, if any at all, rules and regs on Moving and Handling, and if there were, they certainly weren't enforced in care homes. I was just 18 when I started in

Osteo arthiritis or a flee bite in the groin.
I am reading some letters in this forum which made me wonder if I had the right department or the comedian section... On one side we have poor ladies in a lot of pain unable to cope, and on the other side a lady who writes about from couch to running the 3k or whatever, which for sure must be rectified

Unsure
Hi everyone, I had a partial hysterectomy in 2011. Since then I have been having an awful time with pain under my right rib. I have been told it's musculoskeletal, costacondrotus etc etc. I don't know where to turn to next. I am convinced that it's endo following the hysterectomy as the surgeon then

Personal " MOT " results
Sorry but this might be a bit long-winded :) I went to get the results of my annual check up yesterday and came out a bit shell-shocked. Bloods all fine. Breathing very soft - don't know what that means. Given oramorph to " relax my lungs " so that I don't cough at night. Not sure I want my lungs

Memory Query
Hi all :) I wanted to query something on here. At the moment I'm on 60mg Morphgesic twice a day (low dose by choice ) but also have both 2mg and 5mg Diazapem for muscle spasms and Oramorph for breakthrough pain. I used to have an eidetic memory but now can only "clearly" remember things from years ago
